Player Character Advice

Advice

I have a player who wants to play a seductive/temptress type bard or rogue. We are going to be in a morally loose campaign, so, any tips?

What type of temptress? I've played ones before who are utter teases, but never actually end up in bed with anyone.

She wants to be the "goes-all-the-way" seductress.

Ah.

Well, you want to be careful how you handle disease. If you're going to handle it realistically (as in, some people are diseased), you will want to keep the rates low enough that the player won't be unfairly penalized, but high enough they still remain a serious consideration. I'd say a result of 1-10 on a d% works well for that.

Otherwise, one thing that is fun to remember is this kind of character has an inherent weakness in how they act. Specifically, an enemy can intentionally feed them false information just to rub it in their face later, capture them after the act happens, or even try to seduce them over to the other side. A highly charismatic BBEG played right would be a serious threat to this type of character without combat ever being necessary for most of their encounters.

There's a vishkanya archetype for this kind of thing, I think.

One piece of advice is to check with the other players. Even if its flirting, seduction, etc., it's still PVP which might make other players uncomfortable. They may not care what this player does with NPCs, or even if the player flirts with them, but they might not be comfortable with things going to far PVP-wise. Also, players tend to dislike being "forced" into such interactions through mechanics.

Our group once lost a player (permanently) because in a Deadlands campaign, one player made a saloon girl PC and then had his saloon girl character use her seduction skills to take all of the other player's money, and kept doing it. So make sure any Player on Player action is "consensual" at the Player level.

Years ago a female in my group played a female cleric of Asmodeus. The group was at a tavern and at some flirtation she suggested to an intoxicated bar patron that he should follow her upstairs. He did so, and when he "dared" to touch her she cast inflict light wounds and killed him. This was not at all in line with what we expected from the player, and all our mouths were hanging open. She defended herself by saying that we had wanted her to role play more. :)

The Exchange

Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Chronicle of the Righteous
New Feat: Celestial Obedience
Your reverence for an empyreal lord is so great that daily
prayer and minor sacrifices grant you special boons.
Prerequisites: Knowledge (planes) 3 ranks, must worship
an empyreal lord.
Benefit: Each empyreal lord requires a different
obedience, but all obediences take only 1 hour to perform.
Once you’ve performed the obedience, you gain the
benefit of a special ability or resistance as indicated in the
“Obedience” entry for the empyreal lord.
If you have at least 12 Hit Dice, you also gain the first
boon granted by your empyreal lord upon undertaking
your obedience. If you have at least 16 Hit Dice, you also
gain the empyreal lord’s second boon. If you have 20 Hit
Dice or more, you also gain the empyreal lord’s third boon.
Unless a specific duration or number of uses per day is
listed, a boon’s effects are constant.
Mystery cultists (see page 48) gain access to these boons
at lower levels as a benefit of their prestige class.
If you ever fail to perform a daily obedience, you lose all
access to the benefits and boons granted by this feat until
you next perform the obedience.

In my games, most STDs can be removed with a simple Remove Disease. Except for herpes. Only a high level cleric of a greater god can remove that, and it may come back.
