Since we've passed the 24-hour attunement period for the Top 32, and people are beginning to chat about their wondrous items, I figured someone should open another type of thread we had kicking around last year: the Fantasy Top 32.
So: post a list of your top 32! (Or top 36 or top 40 or top 10 or whatever you tabulated during voting.) We can save in-depth analysis for the Critique My Item thread; this is just to shout out your favorites that didn't see the light of making it to the big leagues. Basically displaying all the types of lists that were compiled in Eric Morton's exit poll.
(And as always, a huge hand to Paizo for peeling back the curtain again this year and giving us all hundreds of cool magic items - plus a chance to see the craziness of the big picture behind this contest.)
My list
Amber Robe
Amulet of Reverse Incantation
Astral Thief's Opera Gloves
Blackblade
Bog Boots
Choker of the Siphoning Scorpion
Chrysalis Vial
Clipper Clasp

I only had a Top 17 in my keep folder. I am surprised the amber robe and the two crowns weren't in. I thought they were utterly awesome cinematically.
1. goblet of gab
2. quilt of famliar places
3. cloak of inversion
4. crown of the murder king
5. nightsbane quiver
6. jar of mottled clay
7. poison spitting collar*
8. lock of legend's hair
9. gaze stealing goggles
10. figurine of armor retrieving
11. stormcrusher gauntlets
12. amber robe
13. stormtide jar
14. crown of webs
15. assassins shroud*
16. earthbind boots
17. bog boots
I didn't remember the exact names. The collar absorbed a dose of poison targeting the wearer and let him spit it at someone later. The shroud allowed a grappler to take his opponent into the shadow plane to finish his, uh, business without an audience.

Overall, I particularly liked 99 items, of which roughly half were in the Top 100. From these, I selected the list appearing below. Exactly half of these selected items were in the Top 100. Of those that were in the Top 100, roughly half were in the Top 32. In other words, my picks this year are exactly as predictive as picks made by a random number generator.
Here are some of the items I liked this year:
Choker of the Siphoning Scorpion
Chrysalis Vial
Cleats of Unsubtle Entrance
Deck of the Hellwasp's Sting
Driftwood Token
Gloves of the Dread Viper
Gloves of the Sentimental Dead
Ironmorph Dust
Jar of Imprisoned Echoes

I'll admit there were a lot of clever items I didn't vote for soley because they didn't allow a save or any efense against them. The same way the judges said for one of the items "can't detect the aura" seemed wrong, I was wary of all of those as well.
That said...
I forget the name of the item that was an instant forgery scroll case, but the idea of that in a king's court was hilarious.
I liked the Lightning shoes, though someone told me there's an item just like it in Ultimate Equipment Didn't stop the votes from going its way though.
The Spell Mason Mallet was cool.
Cayden's Shot Glasses were a cool concept, though I understand not wanting to allow potion splitting.
Headband of the Hiruste was neat even though I don't know what a Hiruste is. I think someone said take a shot if you need a dictionary when you find an item.
There was a neat Lychanthrope cape in there too.
I want a dire hampster ball. My real question is, upon hearing the round 2 entry was urban, was the creator in the process of writing up a Dire Hampster?

I can never satisfy myself with 32. SO I have my own alternates and honorable mentions below as well.
The top 25 are the ones that were immediate favorites during voting; they're presented solely in the order that they crossed my path. Then I went back and reread all my saved entries, and picked about another 20 as being fave-worthy. 25–32 represent the best of those, again more or less in order they were recorded. Then the alternates were the best of the rest, and everything else I pulled as a favorite gets the honorable mention for still being awesome.

1 Choker of Mocking Death

I'm proud my item was in your top 3, and also very glad to see Kalervo's item right next to mine. :) Thanks for the comments in my item's thread, btw.
Anyway, here's the list of my favorites I sent to a number of people:
Abiding Light
Boots, Tower
Boulder Thrower's Kit (Top 100)
Crown of Webs (Top 100)
Ever Beating Heart
Fetish of the Frog Queen (Top 32)
Gauntlet of Earth Shattering and Elevating (Top 100)
Gloves of the Aura Thief
Goblet of Liquified Cognition (Top 32)
Groundbreaker Cloak (Top 32)
Harbinger's Knock (Top 100)
Linebreaker's Sabatons (Top 100)
Planar Rift Spike (Top 100)
Poltergeist Knot (Top 32)
Scatterstone (Top 100)
Slaying Shroud (Top 100)
Specter Net (Top 100)
Spellmason's Mallet (Top 100)
Star Cinder (Top 32)
Tactician's Go-Ke
Veil of Tranquility
It's interesting to notice that while only a few of them made the Top 32, most of them were in the Top 100. I think last year my guesses were much more accurate, so I guess I need calibrate my mojo sense. :D
I'm also quite surprised that none of my top 3 (Tactician's Go-Ke, Scatterstone and Linebreaker's Sabatons) made the top 32... well, I'm lucky I didn't promise to eat my hat or anything. :)

I'll take it! (Sewing Form of the Steel Seamstress)
This was the first year I've entered RPGSuperstar. While not making the top 100 was disappointing I'll satisfy myself with making Epic Meepo's Next 16, and with a few other positive comments that suggest that it wasn't without some promise.
Entering has been an illuminating experience in terms of what I've been doing correctly and what I have not. The critiques have been incredibly helpful (even if I wish they weren't valid) and the community positive even when pointing out errors.

Jaw droppingly creepy but very very awesome.
There were a number of well written blood curdlingly creepy items that I enjoyed, but they also made me realize that my group must be playing a PG-13 version of the game (despite all being over 40) that is atypical of the overall community.

Thanks, Belladonna, and grats on making the top 32! I've only been playing since April, so yeah, my mechanics are all wonky. Hopefully next year I'll have a better grasp on the rules language and customs.
BTW, since everything is community voting now, do they allow you to modify an item and resubmit it the following year? (Judges or Powers that be?)

BTW, since everything is community voting now, do they allow you to modify an item and resubmit it the following year? (Judges or Powers that be?)
It's problematic to do that. if the item you resubmit is too similar, people may be able to identify you as the item's author, which could lead to the item's disqualification.
Also, repeat voters may recognize resubmitted items or items that are similar to previously submitted or workshopped items and downvote them for not being original. (There seemed to be several voters in the rant thread doing this to a few items this year, and at least one person knocked an item in the critique thread for being similar to a practice item posted by someone else, even though it was unintentional.)

Can I resubmit an item?
Probably unrelated: Anyone else having problems viewing any year's rules pages without the page refreshing on its own so quickly that I get the site throttling error? ("You have made too many requests for the same page too quickly.") Affects me in Chrome, FF, and IE on Windows. I have to pull that up on my phone to read it.

Oh, and there was a fairly belabored non-canonical Golarion-linking backstory, involving the Antikythera Mechanism, interplanetary travel, and a recent immigrant to Alkenstar with a strange accent and a penchant for togas and bathing. Now that the contest is over, just throwing that out there... *coughs suggestively*
