Is it a straight +4 bonus to charisma?

If so then the importance of it cannot be overstated for a sorcerer, oracle and potentially for a paladin or bard. That's a huge increase in power at very minor cost for those characters.

no it is not a +4 to cha, it's +4 to charisma for the purposes of diplomacy bluff and intimidate.

Hold on, here's the writeup for Arshea's obedience (Chronicles of the Righteous, p.7):

Achieve sexual release by yourself or with one or more partners. Praise the most beautiful aspects of yourself and any partners aloud, and offer a prayer to Arshea while still naked. Gain a +4 sacred bonus on Charisma checks and Charisma-based skill checks* when interacting with an intelligent creature who could be sexually attracted to you.
BOONS
1: Arshea’s Charmer (Sp) disguise self 3/day, mirror image 2/day, or charm monster 1/day
2: Flawless Form (Su) Gain an armor bonus equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum +1) whenever you wear revealing clothing and no armor.
3: Liberation (Sp) You can cast freedom once per day.

*Emphasis mine.

The Celestial Obedience Feat grants:

Obedience Achieve sexual release by yourself or with one or
more partners. Praise the most beautiful aspects of yourself
and any partners aloud, and offer a prayer to Arshea while
still naked. Gain a +4 sacred bonus on Charisma checks
and Charisma-based skill checks when interacting with an
intelligent creature who could be sexually attracted to you.

Please see the thread HERE on how this may interact with things like Initiative.

In addition, if you take the Mystery Cultist PC, you gain

Glorious Aura (Su): Starting at 2nd level, a mystery
cultist can shroud herself in a glorious aura for 1 round per
mystery cultist level. These rounds need not be consecutive.
Her features radiate with divine beauty, but the force of her
presence can be frightening to others. The mystery cultist
gains a +4 sacred bonus to her Charisma score and radiates
a 10-foot aura of terrible awe. Creatures within the aura
must succeed at a Will save (DC 10 + the mystery cultist’s
class level + the mystery cultist’s Charisma modifier) or
become frightened for 1d4 rounds. Regardless of whether
the save is successful, a creature cannot be affected by a
mystery cultist’s glorious aura more than once in 24 hours.
This is a fear effect.

as your level 2 ability from the PC.

** This PC does NOT advance spell casting at level 1. It does advance casting at level 2.

So it's an actual +4 to diplomacy checks (as well as other charisma checks), not the +2 as was suggested (plus the other abilities you can get from it of course.

To the OP: y’know, if you’re willing to consider third-party material, the Sister of Rapture base class would be a good thematic fit for a female character trying this kind of build. It’d probably make a good mechanical fit, too, since it combines 3/4 BAB, spontaneous divine casting, good Fort and Will saves, proficiency with light armour, shields, and all martial weapons, and a class feature called “Distracting Beauty” that gives the woman in question her Charisma mod as a sacred AC bonus (when she’s (apparently) scantily-clad or nekkid, including glamoured light armour). I mean, if you’re going to go for a Cha-based character, you might as well double-down, right?
Just throwing that out there. ;-D

So Diplomacy would be +30, or +34 when dealing with something that could plausibly be attracted to me.

+34 is really rather high. Under RAW, that means that if I can get a hostile creature to stand still and listen to me for a minute (not always possible, of course -- but if) then on a roll of 6 against a no-Cha-bonus enemy I'll shift it all the way from Hostile to Helpful. Even if it has a +5 Cha bonus I'll still manage Helpful on an 11 and will get at least Indifferent automatically.

Obviously there will be many encounters that can't be defused in this manner, but it's still pretty sweet. Diplomacy, like Bluff, is a skill where piling bonus on bonus can give some eyebrow-raising results.

Be aware that diplomacy has been at least slightly nerfed in PF compared to previous editions.

Quote:
Succeed- If you succeed, the character’s attitude toward you is improved by one step. For every 5 by which your check result exceeds the DC, the character’s attitude toward you increases by one additional step. A creature’s attitude cannot be shifted more than two steps up in this way, although the GM can override this rule in some situations.

It's kind of sad, to me, because it really does harm the ability of a mythical smooth-talker to charm their enemies into being friends, but I understand the game-balance reasons for the change.

In any event, I'd still call turning your hated enemy into an indifferent, "Meh, I don't really care, sure I'll talk to you." a kind of "win".

Whoa, I totally missed that!

Well, shoot. That does nerf high-end Diplomacy more than a little.

Silver Tongued Human are often adept at subtle manipulation and putting even sworn foes at ease. Humans with this trait gain a +2 bonus on Diplomacy and Bluff checks. In addition, when they use Diplomacy to shift a creature's attitude, they can shift up to three steps up rather than just two. This racial trait replaces skilled.

Sorted??

Yeah, it's a painful loss, but I understand the intent behind it. It's gotta be frustrating for a GM when the players walk up to the Tarrasque and make it their best buddy, accept the celestial template, and launch it at hell.

And then they get Asmodeus to do their laundry.

... that is a good trait. Does it actually exist in the rules?

EDIT: got it. It's an Alternate racial trait.

EDIT 2: is there a way you can get your whatever race you wanted and still somehow get that trait? That could be very useful.

Paladin 2: Divine Grace, +Cha to all saves.
Nature Oracle: Nature's Whispers, Cha to AC and CMD in place of Dex (better than Lore or Lunar because you already have +Cha to reflex and Whispers is Ex so it stays on even in anti-magic, the other two are Su so they turn off)
Bard 2: Versatile Performance(Dance), Consolidate two Dex skills (Acrobat and Fly) under a single Cha skill.
Bard 4: Pageant of the Peacock{trade 2nd lvl Bard spell known}, Use Bluff in place of all Int skills and Int ability checks; 10 minute duration for 1 round of bardic performance. Fake all your knowledge, your crafting skill, linguistics, etc. Use Wand of Fabricate to craft items within the duration (rock the UMD check). Supercharge your Bluff skill.

Scion of War: Cha to Init in place of Dex.

Take the Human alternate racial trait Focused Study to trade your single bonus feat at lvl 1 for 3 Skill Focus feats spread over lvls 1, 8, and 16. Leave Int, Dex, and Wis at 10, pump Cha primarily, and take just enough Str and Con to manage.

Alternatively, just take 2 levels of Bard to get Versatile Performance and use a feat slot to get PotP. Throw in some Sorc levels if you want. This would probably work better with Half-Elf with Multitalent mastery with all the class dips.

Seems like there might be some synergy with a magus (eldritch scion) or mesmerist, too.

It'd work great with Mesmerist mechanically. Thematically, the Mesmerist's emphasis on lies and mind-control might be a bit tricky.

I don't have access to all the sources referenced here, and I'm still learning PF (pr. DnD3.5), but I'm thinking that Skald (Advanced Classes) could be a pretty nifty base class for a related build concept:

Cha magic and Inspired Rage grants bonuses (and thus new choices, oh you freedom fighter, you.) to whoever is present rather than controlling them, per se.

"Throw off your oppressors! Fight for your freedom!"

The ability to cast a spell of any type once a day is useful, especially for item crafters.

Alter Self is still on the bard spell list, and it's utility here is obvious. (so are Silent Image, Magic Mouth, and assorted other nice effects for this including Glibness and Eyebite.)

This would make this more of a debuffing buffer that can wade on in. If your allies use Rage features, this would be particularly potent.

I thought about that, if you can get your DM to be ok with reskinning the painful glance as an ecstatic glance or something of the sort, it could be a very solid fit.
