Remy is just ticked off because he got one upped on the point buy counting. If his true concern were allowing an NPC choice for a PC he would have said so instead of "That's not how point-buy works."

No race offers +2 str, dex, and wis.
No, they don't, but in the post where I suggested that I even quoted myself citing the specific option from the specific book that would make it possible.
But it isn't an option...

It's an option. It's an option you have to ask your GM about.

As are all options.

I am currently playing a switch hitting ranger and I'm pretty effective as far as the group is concerned. At 6th level I use a composite longbow (+2) at +7/+7/+2 for d8+6 or my +1 earth breaker at +7/+2 for 2d6 +10 using power attack. My feat choices were Rapid Shot and Manyshot as ranger selections and Power Attack, Deadly Aim and Combat Reflexes through normal progression. My favorite spell, Leaded Blades, which ups my melee to 3d6+10. This build works and as advertised, stays fairly well matched with either melee or archer builds. Deadly Aim is the only real archer feat to take with this build from your normal progression. I haven't regretted not taking QuickDraw yet over Combat Reflex. Especially as my next feat will probably be Stepup.

Honestly, Quickdraw isn't really needed until you hit BAB 6 and up. The one of the strengths of the switch hitter it that you should always be able to full attack. Before 6, using a move action to draw your melee weapon is not a detriment, but it will become more and more important from now on for you.

Sounds similar to my Switch Hitter... One thing I have found is that because DEX is a secondary stat (STR is my focus), I do not have enough accuracy with my bow to use both Deadly Aim & Rapid Shot at the same time. Because I took Manyshot at 6th I almost always combine it with either Deadly Aim or Rapid Shot, but never all 3 (I miss too much).

If I was to do it all over I would probably consider taking Precise Shot as my bonus feat at 2nd level or not taking Deadly Aim at all.

Yes and know. Rule 0 applies. The GM can of course house rule anything out or houserule anything in, but this "option" specifically says to consult with the GM to pick from the table. Unlike regular alternate racial traits which are assumed to be allowed.

This is why I like recommending the Garuda Blooded Aasimar with option 9 d% from Blood of Angels (+2 STR) since it lets you get an 18 in both STR and DEX by level 8 if you want it to.
