Finally had a chance to check mine at home last night. Was a - in the 4th printing of CRB.
In other news, got to look up my 4th new word of the contest.

What is it with Michael Jackson fashion this year? I like my handwear to come in pairs, please!
Left gets jealous of right all the time as it is!
Maybe that's the plan; wear the glove on your left hand and then the two hands will feel more equal.
Or you can just go full-on Two-Face.
...double reference.

I simply can't appreciate the abundance of magical helpers that I've seen in this competition so far.
I think you should rename this game to Cropfinder or Harvester or something like this ;-)
Or Kingmaker. :D The agricultural items are probably inspired by Ultimate Campaign coming out this year and expanding Kingmaker's kingdom building rules.
I am disappointed that I'm not seeing more non-farming, Ultimate Campaign-useful items. Maybe next year, or maybe wondrous items aren't a good fit. Or maybe UC flopped and nobody read it compared to Mythic.

I knew that such a thing was possible, and that some people had seen it happen, but I never thought I'd see it myself.
It's like a double rainbow!
(I've had it happen once. Of course, it was right after I couldn't bring myself to vote for two bad items and had used the rare equal button.)

I loved UC, but I was more focused on the first section than any others. The background generator was really cool, and a very nice inspiration source for new and old players alike. The Kingdom Building rules haven't been something that I've really had a chance to experiment with, since I'm running APs at the moment, and haven't had a chance to touch Kingmaker.
I think the point is that UC essentially provides subsystems, and designing for a specific subsystem is a risky business, as it excludes anyone who is not using that system.

Or many designers felt that (for Superstar) Ultimate Campaign didn't offer as many exciting options.

Agreed. We had one wordspell item in 2012, the last year the judges were handling the duties (and it was an awesome one), but I don't think I've seen one in the last two years. I suspect one would fall flat on its face.
I'm really curious to see how mythic does and if anything makes the Top 32 (or Top 89/whatever we get told about this year). I feel like that's been a bit more integrated into the game, though, than the wordspells.

Also, there is an entire AP that is currently being published that uses Mythic, while wordspells had the subsystem with no real support from Paizo.

Throw in a hallway full of doors and you've got yourself a Scooby-Doo episode.

I wrote up a gag item once. Saxophone of Hillacious Chase Scenes. Magic instrument that, whenever you get involved in a chase, animates itself and follows you around playing loud, raucous music and has a knack for causing you and your pursuer to stumble across police officers, little old ladies with big canes, girl scout troops selling cookies, bathers changing in tents, and couples making out, all of whom get incensed and join in the chase.

I tend not to like time-altering items and things that encourage meta-gaming.
Also not a fan of things that alter the way spells work and items that just give bonuses to a skill or other roll.
My favorites are the items that produce a distinct visual affect. Things that LOOK like magic happening.
That's just me.

Will we be voting on the other rounds also?
Yes, but it will be along the lines of "pick the 8 best" or something like that, up until the final (module proposal) round where you pick 1 out of the 4 available choices.
In fact, voting purely decides who advances in the other rounds. Unlike this round, where the judges pick from the top X vote getters and make their Top 32 selections (and alternates).

I think there were even more semi-defective gnomish inventions last year. It was kind of a thing.
