Holiday Build Fun

with it being the holiday season i thought it might be fun/interesting to think about how to build a special festive NPC or character o<):-{>

so, which holiday figure would you build and how? i'm not familiar with any applicable figures from Hanukkah or Kwanzaa, but there are definitely some differences between Santa Claus, Saint Nicholas, Kris Kringle, and Father Christmas...

i suspect that to really recreate any of these figures you'd need a high level gestalt build with mythic tiers, but what would you like to see/use that was sort of in line with the typical power level of the games you play/run but with some holiday flavor?

the one that immediately springs to mind for me would be a Father-Christmas-inspired dwarven ranger: reindeer animal companion, craft[brewing], joyful/generous- spreads cheer by passing around mugs of his own festive ales and rich spiced meats from recent hunts.

others?

A Krampus-type monster would be a fun center to a holiday-based adventure.

Elf antipaladin with a reindeer steed who has a magic item that lets him dimension door into people's homes...

lol, i forgot about krampus- nice!

any ideas how to build it? is the elf anti-paladin a potential krampus build (or was that a statement about the insidious undertones of a supernatural creature coming unbidden into millions of himes)?

The elf anti-paladin was meant as a Santa build, mostly as a more disturbing take on the character. If you've been nice, you get presents. If you've been naughty... He's an antipaladin. Use your imagination.

For Krampus, I'm thinking an orc or troll with levels in barbarian and a similar dimension door item.

Liberty's Edge

I'm thinking the Grinch might be an investigator...

i think the krampus just comes through your front door (like a boss...)

now i have this vision of a holiday adventure where the PCs team up with a st nick/father xmas inspired NPC to hunt a krampus thats been taking children indiscriminately (not just hunting it because its taking children but because its taking them on the wrong days and taking good ones as well as bad)...

We need a stealthy elf with snowman levels. Thinking now, pathfinder should make a snowman class for xmas, I would like that. Snowball would be in his spell list for sure!

Don't buy it, he's a barbarian who sometimes uses firearms when not raging.

I'm pretty certain some of Santa's "elves" are really halflings, sneaky little buggers going around spying on little children, while the rest of his "elves" are gnomes with a toy-making obsession.

I considered making Santa a human bard or sorcerer with a mythic tier or two. His elves would be gnomes. I think they'd fit better than..well..elves.

There's this old chestnut for St. Nick:
