Anthropormegitise An animal, give it hands and a language,
Hand it a wand, and tell it to (work, maneuver?) idk. I just want to know if its possible because it gives an animal all the things it needs to use a wand

In PFS? I'm fairly certain this is not legal.

To activate a wand, the user must be able to weild it (hands from anthro) speak a language ( also, from anthro) and be able to make a dc 20 umd check.

An animal with a 3 int or higher (mines gonna be +1 from ability increase) can put points into any skill

Liberty's Edge

I think he means the spell is not legal. try the additional resource page to see.

I don't play PFS but skimming the additional resources I can see that Anthropomorphic Animal isn't banned. But there's no trick that would apply to wand activation, as far as I can tell.

Dark Archive

From what i can see i can *push* an animal to do it because its something that it normally does not do

Liberty's Edge

looks like it is legal. dont see why you couldnt I guess.

Dark Archive

I would like a better confimation than "i guess"

The spell grants intelligence of 3 and a language, but skills are not granted by a change in intelligence (headband of vast intelligence) until they've affected a creature for 24 hours.

Anthropomorphic animal can be made permanent, but now you have a sentient creature which by the rules requires the leadership feat to keep it around. Leadership is not PFS legal so this option is a no-no.

The loophole is to buy a headband of vast intelligence with UMD on it for your animal. Let it wear it for 24 hours, then cast this spell and do what you're asking.

Edit: all of this was asserted based on a regular animal and not a companion or familiar. The below post is correct to those.

Edit: also for the above loophole to work the initial intelligence of the creature would be a 1 since going from 2 to 3 grants sentience.

Can my animal companion or familiar wear or use magic items?

It is intended that animal companions or familiars can not activate magic items. An animal companion could benefit from an item with a continuous magical effect like an amulet of natural armor if its master equipped the item for the animal companion. Animal companions of any type may not use manufactured weapons.

Animal companions are also limited by their individual anatomies. In Pathfinder Society Organized Play, animal companions always have access to barding and neck-slot items so long as they have the anatomy. For example, a horse and pig can always have access to barding and neck-slot items. A snake does not have access to either. However, an item called out to be used by a specific animal is usable by that animal regardless of slot.

Additionally, animal companions have access to magical item slots, in addition to barding and neck, as listed on the inside front cover of the Animal Archive so long as they select the Extra Item Slot feat. The Animal Magic Item Slots table found in Animal Archive is not a legal except under the following conditions. First, an animal companion, familiar, or bonded mount, may choose one slot listed under its body type when taking the Extra Item Slot feat (this feat may be taken multiple times, each time selecting a different available magic item slot based on the creature’s anatomy). Second, access to specific magic item slots may be granted at a later date by another legal source. If you do not own a copy of the Animal Archive, your animal companion may only use barding and neck-slot items.

An animal or familiar has to have an intelligence of 3+ to activate an ioun stone. If the animal or familiar has less than a 3 intelligence, they may not activate an ioun stone.

The brownie, faerie dragon, imp, lyrakien azata, mephit, quasit, sprite familiars, granted by the Improved Familiar feat, use the Biped (hands) section of the chart. The carbuncle and voidworm protean, familiars granted by the Improved Familiar feat, uses the Serpentine section of the chart. If you do not own a copy of the Animal Archive, your animal companion may only use barding and neck-slot items.

Emphasis mine.

Liberty's Edge

there is that.

Why do you need a language to activate a wand? Wands aren't command word items. At least, not by default.

Wands use spell trigger rules. It requires a single spoken word.

Ah, there it is. "Single spoken word". Thanks for finding that.

Couldn't remember where I'd seen it, but there it is.

As I said, not PFS legal.

OP made no mention of animal companions or familiars. Specifically AN animal.

Buy a dog, give it a headband +2 int with UMD as the skill, wait 24 hours, make it a were-dog, use wands.

Edit: can't change my above post, but I'm unsure of this working when it brings the dogs intelligence to 3 or above as it should gain sentience.

The PFS judges will not find such an attempt to skirt the rules cute or amusing. The intent of the rules is to disallow any but PCs themselves from activating magic items.

Sczarni

Dogs can't wear headbands anyways. Not without the Extra Item Slot feat.
