That is a fantastic outcome, and hopefully got its start at kid's track. Looking forward to her being able attend a GM101. And, I am looking forward to playing at her table some day.
As a reward for her accomplishment, I am personally buying her a copy of the Gamemaster Guide if she doesn't have one.

Her Dad (Mistwalker on these boards) deserves all the credit for bringing his girls up as gamers. His other daughter is a few years younger and took out one nasty bad guy in Song of the Sea Witch at our last game with her barbarian with rage issues. They were a pleasure to have as players at my table.

Congratulations to Shadow Stalker!... certainly beats the pants off my 12 year old no star GM son, he'll have to earn more stars if he wants to have dessert again ;) Kids make great GMs, they seem to be able to prep things much faster, I keep saying "are you sure you have prepared enough?" and they seem to be able to get the scenario on first read through. Guess the old memory is not what it used to be.
Hurrah to new blood!

And I thought my daughter was young when she got her 1-Star at 11...
Congrats Shadow Stalker!
(And thank you Mistwalker for being a good gaming dad!)

Congratulations Shadow Stalker. It is good to see Young GM's. it reminds me of playing the red box in the living room with my friends. we always fought over who would be the "DM" and I always lost. Looking back I realize I won. :) Now I enjoy GM'ing as much if not more than playing. Keep up the good work and look forward to you getting your 5th star :)

So, Shadow Stalker, what advice can you give us, on being a good GM? (That's a serious question. All of us have things to teach and things to learn.)
What was the best thing to happen at the tables you've run so far?
The most important thing is to have fun, so do things to make sure everyone has fun.
Well, when you run your game things are never going to go as planned. The PCs do unexpected things, as they always do, but be prepared to use something fun to surprise your players.
In one game, I had a player who was swallowed by a frog. Her character had one foot out of the frog's mouth (describe things in a fun/funny way), so someone was trying to heal her. The cleric used up at least three healing spells before she got out of the frog. I enjoyed her expression when she found out she was in a frog (so did everyone else).

I started playing before the beginner's boxed set came out. I would love to run some kid's track games. Maybe at CanGames this year.
Thank you for the Gamemaster's Guide.

Shadow Stalker is a bit excited at the moment.
She has already informed me that she plans on beating me to 3 or 4 stars.
:)
But she may have some stiff competition coming up. Her younger sister wants to GM too, and has started reading the Core (she is 6, about to be 7).
I am glad that both my daughters enjoy gaming, and playing games with dad. We have even gotten Grandmère (my mother) to play (who, for some strange reason likes to play a witch and use cackle a lot).
I wasn't at the table when they played in Glen's game (running another game due to a GM being sick), but I am glad that they had fun, and that they were a pleasure to have at the table.

Congrats, Shadow Stalker! (and great parenting, Mistwalker!) That's quite an accomplishment for one so young. I'm an American, but I will gladly sing a loud and heartfelt "O Canada" in your honor if I ever have the chance to play at your table or adventure together.
Best of luck to you as you progress to your second star.
