Conversions for The Mud Sorcerer's Tomb

Conversions

Greetings,

As the title might suggest, I am working on conversions/updates of the notable "The Mud Sorcerer's Tomb," a work that many of you may be quite familiar with. I have recently embarked on my own conversions of the 3.5 updated version listed in Dungeon Magazine to Pathfinder.

I am inquiring into any data and research others may have utilized in their own conversions of this fine adventure. Although I am increasing the difficulty of the encounters, I am curious as to modifications others have made. I do not require statblocks per se, but rather ideas or recommendations. I am fully aware of the concerns dealing with intellectual properties so I will not be posting my conversions here either. If someone wanted me to provide them with a copy of my conversions of the encounters within The Mud Sorcerer's Tomb, that is something I can do.

For your reference, I am increasing the difficulty of all encounters by three levels. I'm strictly using only Paizo products instead of 3rd parties because I do not have access to most 3rd party products. I'm also testing the adventure with a rather large variety of different groups of characters to test how versatile I can make the adventure.

Thank you kindly in advance for your time and thoughts.

they redit it and reworked it for 3.5 in dragon 138. I've personaly never ran it but the conversion should be somewhat straight foreward if you get your nads on 138.

also if your wanting flavor and background i think one of the dragon magazine AP modules menstions the mud sorcerers i cant for the life of me remember which.

Dragon 138? I think you meant to say Dungeon magazine, not Dragon magazine. I am quite familiar with it since I was already aware of the 3.5 update (as I mentioned in the opening post), ;)

As for it being mentioned in one of the Dungeon magazine Adventure Path modules, that is news to me. Although I can't help but wonder if maybe you are referring to the Savage Tide adventure path where they talk about the Olman sorcerer/priest kings of the ancient Olman Empire (albeit they do not go into it in great detail).

I thank you though for your time and considerations. I now have a lead to try to track down. I honestly never thought about looking for more context about the mud sorcerers. :)

Cheers!

I will be running this adventure for my group this weekend. Did you have any luck converting it? I am making minimal changes. Mostly just re-creating an NPC with PF classes.
