So the results are in for the groups of Brasil 2013:

Group A
Brasil
Mexico
Croatia
Cameroon

Group B
Spain
Chile
Netherlands
Australia

Group C
Colombia
Ivory Coast
Japan
Greece

Group D
Uruguay
Italy
Costa Rica
England

Group E
Switzerland
Honduras
Equador
France

Group F
Argentina
Nigeria
Iran
Boznia-Herzegovina

Group G
Germany
Ghana
United States
Portugal

Group H
Belgium
South Korea
Algeria
Russia

Seems we Chileans will be opening with Australia; with Spain and Holland also there, there is a promise for pain and entertainment. It'll be tricky, particularly with the Spaniards rushing to keep the World Cup.

Group D, though, now that will be pretty interesting to see; there's a lot of great football condensed there.

May the best country win!

There's a team missing. *cries*

On a less myopic note: Group B definitely looks to be the toughest one.

we have the first match against Brazil :)

group B is like the last world cup

group G could be the group of death

It could? Why? While Ghana and the US can be tough opponents, ultimately Germany and Portugal will make it through, no contest. I'd have no problems with Christiano Ronaldo failing, though.

The poor Aussies sure have drawn a bad lot.

Looks like Australia will be the first ones out... We do have the conciliation prize of winning the Rugby League (a game nobody else cares about) World Cup ;-)

To be honest if Australia wins the Ashes we won't care too much about the soccer.

I'd have no problems with Pepe failing, CR I'm neutral

Ghana I think is on the level of Uruguay, with USA you never know, they've beaten Germany's reserves recently, Italy, and Spain few years ago. Tough they have Klinsmann.

It would be great to have a ''rest of Europe team'', consisting of all great players that didn't make it, Ibra, Lewy, Bale, Alaba ...

Australian 2006 team played nice

Except for Ireland, New Zealand, France, the UK and a few others, you mean?

Oh you are confusing Rugby League with Rugby Union.... Only two states in Australia and some towns in the north of England play League...

Lots of towns in the North of England play League. I live in one of them :)

We are going to get such a spanking in Group D.

Congrats on the cricket, too!

That's a bit odd.
