I am always reading about items always available. Is there a comprehensive list anywhere?

Thanks

Check out the free Guide to Organized Play for the details.

Basically, the Always Available list consists of:
-All non-magical equipment (except firearms)...
-...even when made of special materials (except Dragonhide)
-Scrolls and potions of 0- and 1st level spells
-+1 weapons, armor, and shields (except firearms)

I had read somewhere that wands were available for purchase as well. e.g. Wand CLW was available for 750gp or 2pp. Just cant find a consolidated list anywhere.

Pogie, as RainydayNinja advised, download the guide to organized play. It has all of this info listed in it.

Check out table 5-4 on page 26 of the Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play. A fully charged 1st level wand (such as CLW) is exactly 750 gp as seen in this table.

Always Available Items:
You may always purchase the following items or
equipment so long as you’re in an appropriately sized
settlement (see above).
• All basic armor, gear, items, and weapons from Chapter
6 of the Core Rulebook, including Small and Large-sized
items. This does not include equipment made from
dragonhide, but it does include equipment made from
the other special materials, such as alchemical silver
and cold iron (see the Special Materials section on
page 154 of the Core Rulebook). All mundane (completely
nonmagical) weapons, armor, equipment, and
alchemical gear found in any other source that is legal
for play are considered always available.
• +1 weapons (2,000 gp + 300 for the masterwork weapon
cost + item cost)
• +1 armor (1,000 gp + 150 for the masterwork armor cost
+ item cost)
• +1 shields (1,000 gp + 150 for the masterwork armor
cost + item cost)
• Potions and oils of 0- or 1st-level spells at caster level
1st (50 gp or less)
• Scrolls of 0- or 1st-level spells at caster level 1 (50 gp
or less)
• Wayfinder (50% discount—

You can also spend 2 prestige points after your first adventure to get yourself a first level wand (most folks go for cure light wounds or infernal healing)

I'm still confused by this!

How can I buy a 750gp wand using prestige, Wands are not on the Always Available list...

Or is it often on Chronicle sheets?

Because the fame limit is for gold purchases only. The prestige system isn't spending gold.

When you use Prestige you are not buying anything , you are calling in Favors outside of normal commerce to obtain an Item/Service/Favor.

I'm not talking about the fame/gold limit.

I'm talking about the 'Always Available Items' limit.

It doesn't say anywhere in the Prestige rules that you can buy things that are NOT on the AAI list. So the rules default back to the AAI list, right?

Also, if I want to buy 1 item of 200gp using a Prestige Point, it would cost me 2 PP, right? Very inneficient, since you cant buy multiple items for that 2PP.

Yes, its a little unclear. Yes, the wording could be better.

But the always available FOR PURCHASE and the "can be traded for prestige points" are two separate systems.

Its very inefficient. Just wait a few sessions and get your fame up to 5? and then you're good to go.

You can trade 2 pp for one scroll of multiple copies (of the same spell) (because thats ONE item), but you couldn't trade 2 pp for 4 50 gp lightrocks , because they're 4 separate items.

Yes, but it seems you're cherry-picking the price. Anything up to 150 gp costs 1 PP. So using 2 PP to obtain something right above the break-point would indeed seem pretty inefficient.

I'm confused why you favorited your own comment.

Just to add another voice of confirmation to the others that have already replied, exchanging Prestige Points for free items sidesteps the Always Available list.

Popular choices for this mechanic are 1st level wands, Dragonhide armors, potions and oils of 3rd level spells, and scrolls with multiple uses.

I'll give you that it can be confusing at first, but what we're saying is the truth. We're not trying to trick you or anything.

Misclick haha :)

Thanks for the clearing up, everyone. :)

When does the Table 5-3 Fame and Item Purchases limit come into use?

It says "A character's Fame score determines the maximum gp value of any items she can purchase from her faction"

Since I buy all common item from any city NPC, the Fame score doesn't apply to that right?
So does this apply to buying items using Fame? So I can't buy a 1st level wand until I got 9 Fame? (At which point I already might be level 2-3..)

5/5 5/55/55/5

No, everything you get you get from your faction.

Yes, thats a loophole we're aware of in the raw. It doesn't work.

again. No. I don't know why you're getting so hung up on this.

The rules in general are not well written if you try to read them like a law text. This goes tripple for the PFS guide rules.

Silver Crusade 3/5

You have both a Fame score, which only goes up, and Prestige Points, which you can actually spend (maximum amount of them you can have is your Fame score). When you purchase something with Prestige Points, you use them as currency, no money needed. The money values in the table just tell you how much the things you can buy can cost. Do note that the options given in the table are the only ones you can use this way, no stacking points to get more expensive items.

Your Fame score limits the purchases you can make with actual money. So if you're buying anything not on the Always Available list with money/gold/whatever you call it, you have to check your Fame score limit, which gives you the maximum a single item you purchase can cost.

If you use money to buy things that are on your character's Chronicle Sheet, you don't need to check the Fame score limit.

Ooooh!

It clicks now, thanks Leathert. :)
