Recruiting A New GM for S&S

Recruitment

Ok, folks, because of some real life issues, I am not capable of running a Skull & Shackles game that I have begun. For those interested in taking up this role, here is....

THE LINK!!!!!

So read, and those interested, post here with why you want it, your experience with the AP, with Pathfinder APs, Pathfinder, & just gaming in general.

The current gaming group will decide who leads them in this glorious adventure. And many thanks in advance to whoever takes it over.

Hugs

Wishing yourself, those close to you, all the very best in your time of troubles and tribulations.

*Bounces to attention* (^_^)

Ablest body Suny be reportin' fer duties!

Hoping some one steps up to help us mob out in our DM's time of turbulence.

Much best wishes to all. (^_^)

If I owned this AP I mighht give it a shot, but, I do not, good luck looks like a fine crew...

Thanks! I hope we are able to find a GM who will run this AP for us. We did not get very far into it, but the parts that we have done have been fun and I would hate to see the game die so early into the AP.

Happy bump ta' get back ta' tha' toppers. (^_^)

Bumpity-bump!

You´re fairly at the beginning right?
I´m currently kind of busy too and already running this, which comes kind of short also.
Eventually in february i will have more time and could take over.
If you care to wait that long and don´t find someone else before^^

Probably i would do some changes then though, to ease game play and provide a hopefully better experience. It would be the third time i´m running it then and there were some criticism from players to stuff as written, which i understand fairly well.

This is something I could definitely be interested in. I've always wanted to run something piratey, but my IRL group doesn't like pirates.

Let me catch up on what you guys have already done and evaluate if I actually have the time to do this. I'll get back to you tonight.

I'm sure that I speak for us all when I say we await your decision with baited breath!

I'm with Ajani.

We await all developments with baited breath,

Does this mean we should stop eatin' so much fish? :/

Okay. I'm in.

A few caveats:

1. This will be my first time trying to GM a PbP game (although I've been a GM for a little over a decade now), so it will be a learning experience for me. Please bear with me.

2. I will always try to post at least once a day, if not more than once. If I have any major breaks in posting, I will let you all know.

3. I'm not yet sure how I will do combat. Roll20 seems like a good option, but if anybody has a better idea, I'm all ears.

2. The vision I've had for my pirate game could be a major departure from Skull & Shackles. I like some of the material, but I find a few of the books (most notably 3 and 4) to be pretty weak and not particularly "piratey". So I'd be looking to take the campaign off the rails so to speak. Once we get past the second book, it will likely be a smattering of S&S, Razor Coast, Freeport, and other high seas adventures. It will be open world and, I hope, awesome. If some of the players are 100% sold on the Adventure Path, then we might have some problems.

If that seems reasonable, then let's do this.

As for combat, the boards here have a mechanism. See the spoiler box labeled "How to format your text", below. There is a built in dice rolling format. You can also link maps.

If you are set on roll20, then it's doable. It can get a little cumbersome in practice.

As for running off the rails, that's fine. I really enjoyed our free form role playing prequel, so it's the players not the plot as far as I am concerned.

Thanks for stepping up! :)

My concerns with combat come down to personally updating and reloading a map every time somebody moves. That's why I like Roll20, since it gives everyone control of their pieces. :)

Silver Crusade

roll20 takes a bit fo setup but once it is you'll have smooth sailing

This roll20 thing sounds interesting....

I be lookin' forwards ta' seein' it. :)

Much cheers to all.
