The Guide says:
"Before you level up a character for the first time, you may change any aspect of it except its Pathfinder Society Number. Changes may only be made between adventures and before playing as a character above 1st level."
What about if a character with exactly 3 chronicles has re-played a scenario for no credit? Does that count as being played above 1st level, considering I used the 2nd level stats, but got no chronicle?
I was not playing to make a legal table, as there were enough other players, so I did not receive a chroncile. I don't know if that matters.
Thanks for your help!

That brings up another good point. Can my character die permanently if replaying for no credit? Especially if he's the sixth PC at a table?
I'm not even sure I want to rebuild or just start another PC, just kind of curious becuase this will start coming up more often since I'm starting to get a fair amount of games under my belt.

I have two questions, one is for mike in particular as his and morphling's comment have brought it up.
now, say I was playing a module, but as i had played the first session with another character, I had to play the first session for no credit...but the character had played all three sessions. At the end of the module there was a boon that said the character had to have played all three sessions to access. Does he count as having played all three? By their comments I would say yes, as he did show up and risk dying.
My original question is this.
Can one use the rules for retraining a feat to retrain a weapon proficiency to a different weapon? I would think yes, but sometimes things are weird.

He couldn't get any boons or other rewards from that scenario, but he legally played the scenario and has a chronicle for it. I'd say so.

I don't see an issue with retraining Exotic Weapon Proficiency (X) that you picked as a general or combat feat to Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Y). If you got the feat or proficiency in some specific way or are doing something else, details may be relevant.

If you mean if you can retrain out a proficiency with a weapon that you received from a class's proficiency list, then no. Those proficiencies are not a blanket list of several Martial Weapon Proficiency (X).
For example, check out this FAQ.
Fighter: Can I learn a new fighter bonus feat in place of one of my armor proficiency feats?
No. Despite wording in the Armor Proficiency feats, fighters (and other classes) have a class ability that grants proficiency in those armors--it doesn't actually grant those specific feats. Therefore, the fighter's ability to learn a new feat in place of another feat does not apply to these proficiencies.
So classes had a class ability granting proficiencies, not actually getting those specific feats to be retrained away.
If you actually picked up a feat for weapon proficiency, then yea those can be retrained as long as it wasn't being used for a prerequisite for another feat picked up.

What level did you play the character? Level 1 or Level 2?
To me that makes a difference.
The character that played the module was a level 3 character and leveled to 4 after the second scenario in the series.
so to be specific, He played part 1 for no credit, played part 2 and leveled up, then played part three.
and if you're asking about my other topic, he's beyond level 1, so it would have to be retraining rules, as i recently found a weapon that fits in perfectly with how I have been depicting him fighting.
So i was hoping i could use the retraining rules to retrain one of the 'specific' innate weapon proficiency (not the blanket you are proficient with 'all weapons of this type') he gets to that, as opposed to having to burn a feat on it. be it treating as retraining a feat or a class ability I would gladly burn the gold to do it.

What's the "'specific' innate weapon proficiency" you're referring to?

Sorry, neither of those options will do it. It's not a feat and you didn't have a choice to make for your class ability.
You could take the feat, or retrain a class level to a class that gets it as a starting proficiency, or to fighter. Most likely options will be more costly.
