Destructive Smite+Optimistic Gambler

Rules Questions

As the title says.

What happens when a character with the Optimistic Gambler trait uses the Destructive Smite domain power?

Destructive smite gives a Morale bonus to a damage roll, while Optimistic gambler extends all morale bonuses to last for 1d4 rounds longer.

Your last sentence answers your own question. Yes, Optimistic Gambler is a wonderful trait to have. It is so good that some GMs ban it.

You get lots of Extra Smite rounds and deal lots of damage. That happens.

Anybody know if Optimistic Gambler if PFS legal? I may just have to buy Second Darkness if it is just to take that trait on my barbarian.

It isn't pfs legal, and I found out by checking this Handy Page of all things that are legal in pathfinder society and where you should check first in order to find out if something is legal in pathfinder society.

I still don't entirely agree that these combine to give more smiting.

Destructive Smite doesn't measure its duration in rounds, it only grants a bonus on a single attack.

Optimistic gambler does not require for the moral bonus that is extended to be a bonus measured in rounds. So it would extend Destructive Smite.

It is a moot point if he is looking to use the build in pfs because OG is not allowed in those games.

Yeah, I'm sure you linked to the Additional Resources page, which I checked, but which is also entirely unclear in some circumstances as to whether it's limiting or just defining legal and illegal options.
