So, without being too needlessly detailed, how can I make a horse good in combat?
Details:
- Gained via nature oracle
- Aasimar favored class bonus applied
- Celestial Servant taken
What else can I do to make a horse good in combat? It's not being used as a mount, it's fighting alone. I'm particularly looking for stuff I may have missed due to it not being in the online PRD.

Friend to Animals adds your chr to its saves (in 30ft) good for 3rd level boost.
If your a human with the racial feat (aasimar) you can do the above AND have add an extra +2 to one of its stats (eye for talent).
Thats both your feats is all.
Try a camel, their stats rule and they get a touch attack that helps your casting! Also mounts tend to move so one attack works well (exp. with the right feats).

This thread might have something useful.
Thank you, but I've read that thread. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to get much into feats and stuff. It more so deals with how to get the horse (i.e. what class). My class is already decided.
What is friend to animals?
No camels, this must be a horse for RP reasons.

I'm pretty sure animals remain neutral, even if your alignment is different. Although, if you gain a horse as a paladin, your horse is good.
Two things:
1. A nature oracle's horse is INT 6, so it does have an alignment.
2. By good, I meant effective and viable, not good as in alignment. My bad, I didn't make myself clear.

Racial Heritage requires you to pick a humanoid subtype. Aasimars are outsiders and thus aren't a legal choice.

INT 6 or not, it still has the Docile 'Special Ability' unless specifically trained for Combat. Fortunately, a first level Horse Animal Companion starts with 7 tricks, and that's how many are needed for General Purpose combat training (with the additional Attack trick to attack anything). That takes care of the secondary attack issue, and the INT 6 pretty much removes the need for further tricks.
Also, as this is an Animal Companion, it gets its own Feats, and Improved Natural Attack (Hoof) is a good start there, followed by Improved Natural Attack (Bite). Note also that due to the Horse's high INT, you are not limited to Animal Companion Feats.

Nature Oracle revalation..
Friend to the Animals (Ex): Add all summon nature's ally spells to your spell list. You must still select these spells using your allotment of spells known. Animals within 30 feet of you receive a bonus on all saving throws equal to your Charisma modifier.

Beast Rider is a half orc feat that allows you to swap your horse for an even bigger burning club..
Crazy good for nature oracles and only legal way to get a flying mount..
Beast Rider
You gain the service of a monstrous companion or mount.
Prerequisites: Animal companion or mount class feature, character level 7th, half-orc or orc.
Benefit: Select one of the following creature types: elephant, pteranodon, rhinoceros, stegosaurus, or triceratops. Add this creature type to your list of possible animal companions or mounts. When summoning a creature of the selected type to serve as a mount or companion, treat your effective druid level as if it were two levels higher (to a maximum of your character level). If the creature is large enough for you to ride, it gains the combat training general purpose (see Handle Animal) at no cost.
