Thought the environments were hilarious! Batman is 6ft. 2", according to the developers. I get he was "younger, and more inexperienced.", but this stuff was too darn big. Most of the doorknobs came up to his CHIN! The keyboard to the batcomputer was the length of his ARM! I saw poker chips the size of coasters! My dad and I got a hoot and a holler out of that.

Almost totally unrelated to this thread, but one thing that's cropped up recently that I think is really interesting is that now that the Oculus Rift exists and people are creating games specifically for the platform, they're discovering that you have to be super careful about the size of the objects you drop into the world. Because of the change in perspective and high level of immersion, it's suddenly become trivial to notice when something is improperly sized - glaringly obvious, and it reportedly is really damaging to immersion. In 3rd-person games like the Arkham series it's easy to miss some of this stuff (I never noticed the poker chips) but when you are literally looking through the character's eyes your brain suddenly starts evaluating the game world in real world terms. Cool stuff, I think.

Liberty's Edge

First, to Scott: According to Shamus Young, everyone in Half Life 2 is the same height when viewed this way.

Notes on the game:

I managed to kill someone. In the first predator encounter on the bridge, I detonated a mine under someone, and they fell off the railing and out of the world.

In the Red Hood scene, when Joker is mentioning "free falling" he remembers that sequence differently than Batman(his hand is attacking differently)

In the Hotel, there's one man in the boiler room who's talking about switching posts. If you ledge takedown him at the right moment, he says "Alright, you keep having your fun. I'll stay down here and watch a whole lot of nothing."
