Well ello there, I'm completely new at this whole thing and as I've read more I've gained more questions.
First off: Are the only allowed/legal druid companions the ones listed in the core rule book?
Secondly: When you start with an animal companion, do you assume you start with the things needed for their handling, i.e. a horse with a bridle, falcon with a glove?

1) No, there's tons. You can find the complete list in table form a little way down this pfsrd page.
2) No, you need to buy any animal gear you need (though your GM may hand-wave this and give you basic gear free). Bit, bridle and saddle are 12gp, falconry gauntlet is 10.

Nope but you can purchase these items with starting gold. Check the goods and services part of the core rulebook or the mundane gear portion of ultimate equipment. If using digital resources:

The animal knows the bonus tricks automatically for it being an animal companion. You have to teach it, or have someone else teach it, additional tricks it can learn by the grace of its intelligence score. Of course this can probably be done prior to game if your character put a rank in handle animal or can afford to pay the training costs.
