Is there a single use magic item like this?

Advice

Basically the idea is that its some sort of charm, that once crushed or ripped off of a bracelet will teleport you to a specified location within range when the item is being created.

If there is a single use magic item like this, could some one link me to it or quote it?

If not, based off of the magic item creation rules, as a wizard it'd be spell level (5 for teleport) x Caster level (9th for wizard) x 25gp = 1,000gp for this item correct? How does one determine the CR for custom magic items?

Bracelet of Friends might be similar to what your looking for.

Sovereign Court

Well there are a few things here.

Magic Items don't have a Challenge Rating just off the top of my head.

Effectively your reflavouring a scroll but giving it a broader ability to be used. Given that you want a specific location it might be better to base the item off of the spell Word of Recall as that more spell functions specifically back to a designated location and doesn't suffer

Now a scroll of a 6th level spell costs about 1,650 gp so that can be an effective minimum cost for it. If we look at the simple chart for a Single use, use-activated magic item it puts it at about 3,300 gold which would seem fair enough. If you wanted to cut the difference and price it somewhere between those two prices that would be fine either way.

Hm... seems like a single charm version would cost 75% less, so 2,375. Doesn't seem to have a range on it so that may be the increase to cost versus what I have above.

Thanks for the find MrSin.

Apologies, I was thinking of the CL which I would assume is the CL that it would be for the spell used in creating the magic item.

You make a good point Morgen, for some reason I forgot about scrolls and word of recall may indeed be a better fit. Thank you.
