Corsario |
Welcome to KingMaker!
For the 12 players.
Even if each of you have his team, please consider you know all, or most of all, of the other characters, in person and in reputation. There is no so much people at your level and abilities around for you to be unknowns.
And in the future the idea is not for you to remain separated, but to make and disband groups as the need arises.
At the beginning we will use the thread in this campaign, but when you "disperse" we will create distinct threads for each "adventure".
Corsario |
Should I make an account for Okana as well? It'll be easy enough to do in the morning.
Yes, please, do an alias for Okana.
Rhasadilara Wynterfall |
- Female Human Winter Witch (5/2)
Rhasadilara checking in. I just need to figure out the Story feat (and to decide on a new trait from the drawback). None of them are currently speaking to me.
Having a glance through some of the others, I notice 3 Dynasty Founders. What's up with that, lol? Are these respecced in some way so as not to be linked to a specific city that they've lived in for a year? Assuming it's referring to our currently non-existent but eventual kingdom, what about the goal of thwarting rivals to rulership (i.e. is this going to end in PvP)?
Anton Vitruvian |
This is Anton, Rhasa's cohort. I believe it's all done (I even figured out a story feat for him) apart from deciding if I want the drawback/trait thing.
Szymon Wojcik |
present. Need to find the team list...
EDIT Found my team 7:
Fighter
Wizard
Oracle of Life
Archaeologist
Awesome! Perfect balance! Feeling stoked.
Team 5:
Melee fighter
Archer ranger
Summoner
Cleric
Missing a full arcanist and trap disabler, but I've seen worst.
Woot!
Let's get the game on!

About the story feat what about something like:
Resolve inner turmoil- The contradictions and particular events in your upbringing has left you with a deep seated internal turmoil. You have learned to live and ever prosper with it, but the pain it brings bother you permanently.
- Bonus: I would say something like a bonus to will, concentration or resistance to compulsion
- Condition: Resolve the "issues" that you have about your family and upbringing
- Success bonus: Increase the bonus.
About the PvP: No. If someone pursues it, it will be like "Seven against Thebes". A Greek tragedy. Everybody dies.
But don't worry, there will be antagonists aplenty. Internal, external and REALLY external.

Don't get too attached to your "team", remember, it is background only. You will integrate in the campaign.

I thought we were going to have multiple teams adventuring separately. I'm confused again, but that's alright. I'll RP and go with the flow.
cheers
Danath Orlovsky |
Well there are a few Dynasty Founders and it does specifically say.
Special: For groups using the kingdom-building rules, you can optionally use the rules for establishing a settlement to complete the goal of this story feat.
It also states in the completion rules You gain control of the settlement (see the settlement rules). So technically if your character is made Seneschal or mayor or whatever title we use for leadership over a settlement. It doesn't have to be king of the new kingdom in the Stolen Lands. Then Dynasty Founder still works perfectly.
It may seem a little backwards to have three different settlements or Two Settlements and 1 Queen/King all working together to create a singular nation or confederacy. But it still works since we are all goodly alignments. ;)
Now I've only read through a few of the backstories as I tend to try and avoid metagaming but Danath's ultimate goal is to build a nation better then Brevoy. I have been focusing his character around being as balanced as I can with his wealth and maximizing his leadership to match his backstory as I think I have the most Followers out of everyone lol.

Edeldhur wrote:So... Where do we go from here? :DWell, wanted to give time to all the players to report, and see who we count on and who doesn't. So we have the final Player's List:

I will open the Discussion Thread for you 12 to go there.
I will start writing the introduction of the campaign ASAP, while finishing the review of the 10 characters I still miss.
Your first "playing" posts should be happening over the weekend.
Welcome to Kingmaker!
Ni'Tir and Chimalma |
Kaldwell could always take over his families main holding as he IS a Surtova. ;D
Story Feats. :p I don't get hung up on specifics especially when Corsario isn't making a point to point out theres three of us with similar feats. I took Explorer for both my characters and besides there are too few Story Feats to be overly picky. Danath's works because he is focused on building an army and from the sounds of his earlier posts in Recruitment he is going to eventually take Nation-Builder and/or Stronghold as they fit what he's doing.
I haven't read anyone but Arv Akul'Mar which he strikes me as a merchant type. :)
Kiritta Narvagoth |
Really late dot.
Corsario - not to clog things up, but if you start the Campaign thread and we all just dot it - no commentary or anything - then this campaign and the discussion posts will show up under our campaigns and we will not have to search for it and anything posted on it through the recruitment thread.
Corsario |
Yes, sorry, I am taking longer than expected, but I am still here.
Just give me a some time... I in the afternoon I'll post some info I am missing, and try to start the campaign...
Sorry for the delay.
Kiritta Narvagoth |
I was more knocking and wondering about a lack of team building. We need three semi-connected back stories to get our groups together.
Where is the chit chat. The - MY TEAM IS BETTER THAN YOUR TEAM - discussion.
Everyone should just ignore that I still need to finalize my cohort.
Ni'Tir and Chimalma |
Lol keep them alive indeed... :)
So Ni'Tir and Xi'Tir are fairly easy to include in a story as they are a couple of hard to forget foreigners. I mean one has a stegosaurus and the other has a cheetah for crying out loud. They are both searching for old ruins to explorer and are accompanied by an all woman band of adepts that have been known for curing alignments and providing simple holistic aid to outlying villages in Brevoy.
Right now however she is accompanying Danath and his me, providing much needed aid for his troops.
Danath Orlovsky |
I'm trying to work out how Arv and Marius have come to join up with or know of Danath.
Key notes for Danath:
He was believed dead for a few years before appearing suddenly alive and well. This near celebrity status was short lived and he has answered all questions about where he was for the last few years with a simple. I don't remember. Whether or not this is amnesia has yet to be proven and, being of Noble Birth, he wasn't pressed for answers for long before the matter was dropped entirely.
Despite his disappearance being caused by Surtova's Retainers he hasn't spoke an ill word about the noble house since his reappearance and avoids stirring the political pot by firmly deflecting any questions of his opinion about house Surtova.
He carries a different Heraldry then his Noble House Orlovsky, however the Coat of arms is included in his new banner and he still wears his signet ring.
He is a known follower of the Drunken God Cayden Cailen and his philosophy on freedom and positive change isn't unknown among the nobility. It is one of his sources of popularity among the low born in Brevoy, along with his hardcore view of righting injustice when the Law falls short. Most of his followers share his religious belief and those who don't enjoy the revelry that the drunken god inspires.
His command of the Silver Dragonflight hasn't gone unnoticed as his ranks have swelled in the last few months as retainers have rallied to his new banner.
He has fought a werewolf once in Southern Brevoy, however the creature escaped and now he carries a Alchemically enhanced Magical lance dubbed Wolfs Bane for the next time he encounters
His affiliation with NiTir and Xi'Tir has gained him some negative opinion in the upper echelon's because of his fraternizing with low born foreigners. However their usefulness far outweighs the negatives he has received from the social elite in Brevoy.
Corsario |
Sorry I am slowing down at the end. But I am still here.
This is the important info I can't find:
Kaldwell: Age and God. Taldan?
Okana: Alias. Age and God.
Ni'Tir: 3 Hero points. Age and God.
Xi'Tir: Age and God.
Venetia Medvyed: Taldan?
Arv Akul'man: Age and God.
Mulray Gasparo: Age and God (Desna?).
Anton Marakov: God. Finish Fluff.
Sofia Marakov: God. Finish Fluff.
Szymon Wojcik: God (Desna?). Taldan?
Tatiana Fortuna: Verisian?
Seraph Whitemoor: God (Cayden?). I would say you drop the drawback. It is too harsh, as she won't go adventuring with Danath.
Rhasadilara Wynterfall: Age. Story feat.
Anton Vitruvian: Age. God. Taldan?
Edeldhur Beltharan: Age and God. Story Feat.
Daliedhur Beltharan: Alias. Age and God. Story Feat.
Please post me the details I am missing.
If your character is not here it means I found everything.
If you need to choose a good, and are willing to "experiment", I recommend Arshea.
Venetia Medvyed |
Ah yes, Ethnicity, considering being a brevoy noble by birth, I think I'm stuck with Taldan, but correct me if I'm wrong.
I do tend to make a lot of characters Chelish, but I think we're a little far from Cheliax, and a Chelish Medvyed probably wouldn't make a lot of sense.
I'm missing vital information too, hair/eye color and height/weight.
Szymon Wojcik |
Do we have to choose a god? This character is ambivalent. Could choose Desna for a girlfriend, but he wouldn't if didn't have to...
He's not Taldan. He's from Restov, Brevoy whatever that means.
Tatiana can be Varisian.
Janus Sevenstar |
Present!
I think I got everything for Janus. His current story is that all leads on his mother Skyla's whereabouts have been dead for a few years, and nothing new has come up. As such, he is finally moving on from what has been a crazy but ultimately pointless around Golarion, or he can at least put it out of his mind. Aside from taking Neji on a few trips to visit some ruins, he's largely just been staying at his home in Restov and healing people or adventuring with the party on their various trips and tasks.
Neji Lazula |
Lol keep them alive indeed... :)

When they aren't with Jay, Neji and Destroyerman would totally be hanging out with this group. They would just add to the oddity of it. I imagine that a small, hyperactive, blue-haired package courier and her big flying construct are certainly memorable too.
Seraph Whitemoor |
K Seraph is fixed, got rid of her drawback and Auspicious Tattoo. I will miss the +1 will save ;)
I had Cayden in her stats but I made it more clearly defined, she doesn't carry a holy symbol however and is more of a casual worshipper.
Ni'Tir and Chimalma |
@Neji/Destroyerman: Ni'Tir is an open spirit and despite Xi'Tirs Xenophobia she will usually follow Ni'Tir's lead as she trusts her more then anyone else. So you hanging out with One or both of them is fine. Xi'Tir however gets a bit weird when Ni'Tir isn't there, she's not very trusting of others at all... :/
@Corsario Ni'Tir and Xi'Tir are both of the green faith. If I have to select a god then Gozreh is the best I can think of off hand~ :) Let me know~
Ni'Tir and Chimalma |
Fixed the Hero points on both.
Ni'Tir is 26
Xi'Tir is 24
They both worship the Green Faith or Gozreh if that is simpler. ;)

Tatiana can be Varisian.
Your call, he can be an atheist (or what happen for one in Pathfinder, you believe the gods are powerful entities, but nothing else, and not really worthy of the name "god"). Or he can "let it go", without taking religion as important. Or many just pretends for Tatiana. Just let me know.
Most "noble" people in Brevoy is part Taldan (think spaniards). There are also Varisians (Gypsies), Kellids (Conan style barbarians) and Ulfen (Vikings). For what I read about your character he would be Taldan-descendant.

Green Faith it is...
Corsario |
I'm here just waiting on my child also cosario any feedback for Hrraggar
Working on that...
Corsario |
It means Tarina is a Medvyed, but an illegitimate one.
The letters are the creation feats
A -> Arms and Armor
P -> Potions
S -> Scrolls
W -> Wands
M -> Wondrous Items
A -> Alchemy

OK Szymon's profile specifies Taldan; Tatiana's specifies Varisian. We'll say Szymon accepted Desna as his divine patron while dating Tatiana. He was ambivalent, and she was persuasive.
