I think they may be setting up the Russian Winter Guard.
Because Russia is apparently preparing for war with the guys who set Ronan the Accuser loose to take out the Nova Corps.
Edit: Nope. Fake out. Russians are just misinformed and want to kill Coulson.
Aida may have broke his hand, but at least she didn't touch his piece. He hates it when people do that. :D
Also, Quack.

WOOT!
Finally, the truth about May revealed.
Sadly, the truth about the Koenigs was also revealed...and found wanting. Seriously? They're just....what?....quadruplets? Boring. Then again, part of my disappointment might be due to finding Patton Oswalt to be a pretentious douchebag.
So, now we have some future story of Fitz's father in the works, I'd guess.
I thought for sure Coulson would substitute some other book in the library for the Darkhold.
I'd also be interested to what other items are located in The Labyrinth.

I'm with A-zombie, they could have and totally SHOULD have done the ole switcher-oo. They didn't. Secret Agents my left foot.
Zach's role to me is pretty nebulous right now. Which might be a good thing or a bad thing. Right now it's not even a thing. I'd rather have
Titus Welliver back as the bad guy. But that's a thing I guess out of my hands.
I hate Quack btw.
I do think Winter Guard might be waiting in the wings though. We'll see.

Ehhhh... they kind of painted themselves in the corner with them. People were screaming LMD ever since we first saw his first 'brother'. Now that LMDs are in the picture...
Having them be actual Flesh and Blood kinda WAS the fake out. They had to choose between obviously predictable and kinda disappointing.
They went with the less predictable version...

Enhanced Person is the general MCU term. Encompasses Mutates (persons who gain powers through circumstances, like Steve Rogers or Bruce Banner), Tech-based individuals (Tony Stark, Peter Parker), and Inhumans (Wanda Maximoff, Daisy Johnson), and weird stuff like Robbie Reyes. Probably also sorcerers.
If there were Mutants, they would also fall under this aegis.
Aliens (Asgardian, Kree, etc.) may or may not fall in this category. Same with machine intelligences like Vision and AIDA.

It's called an opinion. You may not like it, but I don't care.

I was kind of hoping that Koenig would be some sort of (can't say mutant) um, metahuman, or something, able to make duplicates of himself, which would explain how 'meh' he was about the death of his brother.
For about 2 seconds, I thought they were going the Jamie Madrox route. Then one of the bad guys said something about a replicant (or similar term), and I thought they might do some kind of one-off clone experiment, with maybe something in their DNA making the original the only one who could be replicated.

Well, that was weird.
I''m still wondering where the senator's brother is in all this. Last we saw of him, he was re-cocooning himself on the bottom of the ocean after sister shot his ass.
Speaking of the senator - I'm glad they ended her character arc. I like the actress, but she was doing a great job of making me hate her character.
I was starting to like Mace, and I hope they keep him around.
Radcliffe's big idea for immortality is...what? A f@*~ing virtual reality? The Matrix? Do you want Keanu Reeves as your savior? Because this is how you get Keanu Reeves as your savior.
Although I'm still not liking the way the Darkhold is portrayed. It seems less a tome of mystic knowledge, and more a tome of enhancing your tech knowledge while driving you insane tome. Everything it's done so far has been tech based.
I wonder if Coulson is going to end up having his mind shoved into Radcliffe's Framework to pull May's mind out. It would make sense, since I seem to recall him being put into some kind of VR world while they repaired him after his death.

So when FitzSimmons checked the senator's office, I guess they found Pete's piece(s).
I love how Mace thinks he isn't a hero, how he finds faults with his accomplishments. The way he acted on the Zephyr was straight out of Steve Roger's playbook. Seconding the hope he is staying around. (Jason O'Mara is a great actor).
And I'm sure that Steve would back the claim that Persuasion is a power in Mace's case. He is great with the media, and with handling people.
Third Mace thought: why not use the specs for the Mk 1-42 from SHIELD's library and enhance the armor he is wearing? Rather than trying to enhance the man?
Irony: I'm commenting on how seeing the actress play an actual human helps show the excellent work she is doing creating a uncanny valley in her AIDA performance. And then the characters claim she doesn't have an uncanny valley.
Darkhold wasn't entirely tech-enhance. It told Ivanov that Radcliffe was his solution. When dealing with those who have tech knowledge it offers tech knowledge. I'm sure Thor Odinson or Steven Strange would see something different. In the latter's case, that this is another ploy by the Dread Dormammu, and needs to be contained.
Also, "Anton Ivanov". I wonder if this character is a stand-in for Ivan Antonovich Vanko.

My point about the Darkhold is that it shouldn't have anything to do with technology. It should be nothing but magic. It's one of the major books of black magic in the entire Marvel universe.
Why would Anton be stand-in for Ivan Vanko? Vanko was already in the MCU as an enemy of Iron Man. So far, Anton's motives seem entirely rooted in hatred of the Inhumans. I'm wondering if they'll reveal that his family fell victim to one of the newly changed Inhumans, or maybe became one of them, and that's why he hates them.

Stand-in as in, the actor aint coming back, but they wanted that particular Russian Winter Guardsman for the story.
Of course Ivan (Russian equivalent of John IIRC) and Anton are very common names...

OK, no problem. I mean he's a swell guy in person.

Yeah now I'm curious. Because there were a few that bombed that people refused to see.
Me I just had limited funds.
For me, it's typically two things. The primary reason is just lack of time. Daycare typically only has one Parent's Night Out per month. The secondary reason is money. I prefer to limit the money I spend in theaters on something I REALLY want to see. With the spat of Marvel, Star Wars, and other movies over the last few years, it's easy to fill that list up.

I believe it had something to do with James Rolfe, aka the Angry Video Game Nerd, posting a video stating that he would not see the movie and why and Patton Oswalt being upset about it because he liked the movie.
