Origin of the Worldwound

Wrath of the Righteous

Have we found out any more information about what caused it based off of this AP?

The Exchange

A wizard did it.

Lost Kingdoms from campaign settings explains it all. Also if try googling Sarkoris you might find the rough details. Nothing beats Lost kinddoms tho

Liberty's Edge

Also give King of Chaos (Pathfinder Tales) a read, it's full of details!

Deskari’s greatest minion is, however, no longer strictly mortal. Areelu Vorlesh, architect of the Worldwound on its Material Plane side, completed her transformation from human to half-succubus soon after the Worldwound opened.

In a short blurb about Areelu Vorlesh:

Architect of the Worldwound

No one is more to blame for the Worldwound than Areelu Vorlesh.

The inference is that Areelu Vorlesh, following direction/inspiration by Deskari, opened the Worldwound on Golarion. This provided a connection (probably via a permanent gate of some type) to Deskari's realm in the Abyss.

More details will undoubtedly follow as the AP continues.

In simple terms sarkoris was a cn barbarian narion with a vast swath of different beliefs. Many towns had their own mini pantheons where unique angels existed next to evil gods, false gods, and gods made flesh summoned by god callers.

Somewhere in these shifting beliefs deskari gained a foothold.

Aparently Aeeelu was imprisoned somewhere and discovered something while making an escape, betrayed and murdered her companions. This seemed to be the trigger for it all. However I think Deskari already had the foothold.

More details to come in the last installment of Wrath of the Righteous, of course!

Clever girl...

But seriously I missed Lost Empires somewhere along the way. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, guys!

I suspect that Aroden's death had something to do with it.

Aroden's death just gave them the opening they needed. Lost Kingdoms has a bunch of great info on it in the Sarkoris section. The rest of the book's great too.
