For the rest of the crew, I'm torn with regards to any new projects for Nasira. I've debated having her invest in a shop or two to bring some other goods to the city (man does not live on armor and weapons alone) or on a team to work the temple or hospital. OR a shop and a team that works the shop.

Or I could throw resources in with someone else for a grander project.

Or...

We need to cover half the cost to repair it fully. So half of all that above will do the trick.

On another note, I wanted to let you guys know I am going on vacations from next Sunday onwards, for about two weeks.

I'm travelling with the family tomorrow, before the vacations start proper, so I should be able to keep up the posting until Sunday, but after that I cannot guarantee it since I will probably be immersed in tepid sea or pool water, hopefully with some sort of alcoholic beverage closeby :D

I don't remember when your hiatus began, but I'm pretty sure you missed Zeriax and Maelchar's epic character development posts. You will want to check those out.

I think most of the rest of the interim has been about using resources to develop and rebuild Drezen.

Oh, we redeemed an intelligent evil weapon. Can't say you do that every day...


The short of it is that you defeated a mythic shadow demon to free the Sword of Valor. From there the Queen has tasked you to rebuild Drezen and has given you resources to start the project. The past 2 months people have been building their own structures to personalize the city. In that time Zeriax decided to take on some bada$$ stuff and Maelchar had a possible conversion. Pakak and Nasira redeemed the corruption forge and turned it into a purity forge.

You think you have 6 months of downtime as the war effort ramps up on the borders. Just recently you have started searching the Worldwound for further leads and foes to track down and eliminate while Drezen strengthens.

So we just got tier 3 and are Lv9. I'll look over rules for the city, but Garith would probably have spent much of this time training w with the army


No problem with you doing training exercises with the army Garith.

Don't worry about the downtime stuff thus far in month a1 and 2 we will catch you up to speed for month 3. Month 2 is just about wrapped up.

So I'm currently at: 45 goods, 47 labor, 9 influence and 11 magic and 7,440g.

Morgrym will use Month 2 earning more Goods and Labor at his "New" Smithy with the +4 bonus attached to it. I just need to know how many days of the month he can work so I can calculate accordingly.


6 more days with the new smithy but 16 at the old as well. 6 days is spent traveling and scouting the area in the Marchlands.
Anything else left for downtime rules before we head to month 3?

Correct

Once I hear from Pakak regarding if post we can move along to month 3 I believe.

If nothing by tomorrow we can retcon it so get ready to plan month 3 for downtime and if you are going to explore more and when exactly in the month you are planning to do so.

6 days at the new smithy with taking 10 = 35; +15 skill check, +10 Goods per the forge bonus, and taking 10.

So, 18 Goods for those days.

The old smithy taking 10 is 21 for both Labor and Goods.

So 8 days for Goods and 8 days for Labor = 16 each.

34 goods and 16 Labor total. Which equals 50 and 500g.

So, after Month 2:

79 goods, 9 influence, 63 labor, 11 magic and 6,940g.

Okay, I think I'm caught up now.

No idea what Maelchar has to spend, but he'd like to build a barracks in month 3. I know it requires:

Create 80 Goods, 18 Influence, 73 Labor, 1 Magic (3,700 gp)

Rooms 2 Armories, 1 Bedroom, 2 Bunks, 1 Common Room, 1 Dojo, 1 Guard Post, 1 Infirmary, 1 Kitchen, 1 Lavatory, 1 Office, 1 Storage

The influence is no problem for him, but the other parts he'll have to pay cash for or something else... Or if he can't afford it, he'll get it started anyway.

While it is under construction, if any of either army are interested in using the facility, he'll try to talk them into helping with the construction.

He'll also spend some of the time talking to any who don't have a strong tie to a specific deity about Ragathiel... Note that he is NOT trying to lure anyone away from worship of Iomedae or anyone else... he's trying to talk to those who aren't currently tied to a specific deity. (and not just members of the armies, he'll talk to anyone)


Maelchar, as an alternative you could try and influence the council to build that this month and free you up for something else. That is a possibility especially with you in Horgus' good graces currently. If so just give an IC post with a diplomacy check for the rest of the council.

Dwarves receive a +2 racial bonus on saving throws against poison, spells, and spell-like abilities.

Okay, Morgrym has all of the above. Would any of this be applicable toward the gaze?

it is a deaeth effect so yes you get the +2 save bonus there.

Hi everyone - I am posting this to all my games: unfortunately these past few days have not been easy, and only now I had the time to post anything at all. I have a close one in my family who is sick, and we have been in and out of hospitals and other doctor appointments non-stop.

I am not really sure when this will be sorted, but I am hoping it will happen soon... Maybe by the end of next week. I will try to keep you updated as I can.
