Your Father-in-Law would steal from you?

Besides you don't get continued milk production without breeding. If he wants to cook goat he should raise the babies himself.

No, she was joking. I didn't know that about the milk, though. Yeah, breeding goats would be a lot more work than a single one. Not worth it.

As for the 2-liter of Mt Dew a day - That's REALLY bad for you. The calories alone are like an extra two pounds of fat a week. That can add up REALLY fast. Not to mention the havoc that much sugar will wreak on your pancreas. Just plain awful for many many reasons.

If you're young and active, you can cope with it. The hard part is kicking the habit when your metabolism changes.

Of course, if you're young and sedentary, it doesn't work so well.

Oh yeah, I'm aware. But it's a habit that's tough to break, like any addiction, and I do believe it's an addiction. Not as bad as crack or meth, obviously, but I get cranky as hell if I go more than a day w/out at least a small amount of the wonderful, yellow-green elixir.

Blech.

I think doctor pepper and all diet sodas taste like a chemical factory died in my mouth. I cannot drink that.

I can't drink mountain dew because it has orange juice in it and I'm allergic to orange juice. I can't eat bacon because I'm allergic to sodium nitrate. I'm also allergic to chocolate. I'm allergic to cigarette smoke and steam.

I'm putting this in a separate post so it can be removed if necessary. A lot of the things you can say on twitter cannot be said here.

Because of all my health problems, I know god exists and hates me. I think it's because I killed myself in several past lives. This is why I'm intolerant of atheists who preach and anyone who suggests suicide to anyone, even as a joke.

Liberty's Edge

You're allergic to steam?

OK, that is impossible. It would mean you are allergic to water.

Also, if your allergic to sodium nitrate or nitirite that means you can't eat any cured or smoked meat, celery, onions, garlic, carrots, potatoes, yams, sweet potatoes, greens, cabbage, broccoli, parsnips, turnips, beets, lettuce, cauliflower, strawberries, raspberries, currants... Any root or leafy vegetable and most berries, basically.

It's not difficult to either hire stud service or do artificial insemination.

Then you get the choice of either raising the kid for meat, or selling it to somebody. Usually you can get around 100-200$ for a weaned Goat Kid.

There is an old school magic variant that solves mana issues.
You use two decks one for all your basic land and another one for the rest of your cards. Draw from the one you wish to draw from.

I do think it interesting that a lot of magic players preferred NOT using it though.

Mountain Dew is incredibly bad for you my friend, perhaps if you'd like to step into my fuming trailer I can offer something less destructive to your health...

I can't believe I missed shitting on Mountain Dew:-(

Stupid need for sleep!

I only drink water, milk, coffee and an occasional Hard Root Beer, everything else tastes like syrupy shit to me :-)

The last time I drank Mountain Dew was 20 years ago, because my friend put 100 proof Southern Comfort in it, it still tasted like Alien jizz

Seriously, will someone explain to me the My Little Pony trend? Is it some kind of inside joke? I know it's some kind of meme, like bacon and like Chuck Norris used to be, but...seriously... I never see grown men get like that with any other TV show aimed at 7-year old girls.
Lauren Faust basically rebooted the series with the focus on quality and making it more family oriented like older Disney, so there is lots for the parents to enjoy, which means other adults too. Things like references to The Big Lebowski, Twilight actually jumps on a literal soap box once, and the entire thing is high quality, from animation to music to well rounded characters that show development.

See, no. It's Flash, it tries to be super memetastic, and is nowhere near as clever as it and its fawning Fandom thinks it is.

Being Mrs. Craig McCracken doesn't give her a free pass. And it's certainly no Tiny Toons Adventures or Animaniacs...or even Powerpuff Girls, for Zod's sake.

I know. It's 'just' a cartoon. I should relax. And I would if I didn't have grown ass men going squee at me over the show they watch with their little girls while playing tea party and whatever the hell otherwise they do. It was bad enough when they were on the Dora the Explorer kick and nowhere near as pervasive.

Hey. Mountain Dew is great fuel. The sugar kicks in for a near instant rush and keeps you going until the caffeine catches up.

I still drink it on long road trips.

I gave up coffee and soda pop and I feel a thousand times better than I did when I was a user. I think folks get too used to the "kickin in" and think its helping when really you are just feeding a high thats bound to crash. No thanks. I recommend the Picard Earl Grey tea.....Hot! Summit a local brewer is creating "Make it so" an earl grey ale that uses the house blend from my favorite local shop. I cant wait!

Same could be said about bourbon, except you don't want to drink it on a long car ride:-D

I love alcohol but its for winding down not to get going or to simply function :)

You just reminded me of the scene in Pitch Black where the Imam and Riddick go back and forth about praying, which ends with Riddick saying...

Spoiler:
You think someone can spend half their life in a slam, and not believe? Think a man can start out in some liquor store trash bin with an umbilical cord wrapped around his neck, and not believe? You've got it all wrong, holy man. I absolutely believe in God, and I absolutely hate the f@++er.

More personally, I have a genetic disorder that's blossomed into all sorts of problems that make my life dangerous and difficult. So I feel ya.

Mostly I drink tea. Mountain Dew is reserved for long trips, maybe a couple times a year.

Hm, never heard of such a variant. Did it have a commonly-known-by name?

I occasionally frequent a MtG forum, and different homebrew ways of solving the mana issue is a perennial topic. Every time it comes up, dozens of old-timers dog-pile the one who brings it up, insisting that it's a terrible idea because it allows this or that exploit. Which is true to one degree or another, depending on the homebrew; but the point of discussion and experimentation is to head these potential problems off at the pass.

Every variant changes the game's status quo, and most require at least a few bans. For example, after being introduced to the Commander format by a new group, I did a card search for legends to use as my commander and discovered one that auto-resurrects and was like Woot, best commander ever! But then I checked the Commander ban-list and surprise, surprise! That card is banned in this format.

I think that certain personalities are prone to getting entrenched in THE WAY THINGS ARE AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN, regardless of the game being played.

I sometimes get a good chuckle over people getting their hate on over their favorite hobgoblin without the slightest apparent awareness that the view they are expressing is somebody else's hobgoblin. It's even funnier when they have a sad about the people they hate hating them right back.

But then again, sometimes it's just depressing.

You kind of lost me there Simon, which Hobgoblin should we hate?

Whichever ones you like. Check your closet or under your bed, that's where they like to hide.

I always *facepalm* when I read or hear someone mention their feelz.

I have every season of Archer and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia on DVD, the Archer Vice season I even have on ITunes as well because I couldn't wait for the DVD release, but I don't have cable so.

I have never in my life had cable:-)

I also love that I can type this while riding on a bus downtown with Tiny T-Rex to go check out the construction projects :-)

The few times I've tried to watch Archer I couldn't make it longer than 5 minutes. So have some shunning for that one.

Also Bob's Burgers is another favorite show :-)

I haven't liked The Simpsons since the movie, I just don't think it's good anymore

I think you should definitely check out Rick And Morty if you haven't yet. It is to scifi what Archer is to spy flicks. A brutal, hilarious and fast paced deconstruction.

I will, thanks sounds hilarious :-)

I couldn't get 5 minutes into my first Archer episode OR Bob's Burgers.

Archer is just 5-6 caricatures they beat jokes out of relentlessly. Its funny occasionally, but its nothing remarkable.

Judging by the episode I have watched this past half hour, it's the adventures of a family suffering from mass lobotomies.

The relation between the shoes is that they both have the voice actor of Archer. However I find the Bob's Burgers lacks the charm and electric energy that Archer has, which leaves you with just a bunch of characters being miserable at one another.

Archer actually referenced Bob's Burgers at the beginning of season 4.

First, flash is just a tool and doesn't make something good or bad.

I agree that some people get ridiculous, but how is that any different from any other fandom?

In my opinion it is better than Powerpuff Girls, Animaniacs, etc. However, that is an opinion. The only objective comparison that can be made is on the quality of animation, music, character depth, etc, and in those areas MLP has high marks.

I don't go sqee over the show, but I still like it.

I think it is very polarizing because guys have always been far more restricted than women in terms of acceptable behaviour, despite male privilege, and MLP is so recognizable as girly that some people can't get over idea that a guy can indeed like something not masculine, and MLP is about as far from masculine as you can get. I think the very notion threatens many guys concept of masculinity and manliness which for many is the core of their self identity. I think therefore the idea of a man liking something like this threatens their self identity because it shatters the concept they identify themselves with.

About Bob's Burgers, it's not the same people that do Archer but by One of King of the Hill creators, the charm of the show honestly is the supporting cast, which is one of the best honestly, Mister Fishoeder, Edith and Harold, the old couple and Jimmy Pesto I swear is my uncle Al except with a pizza place instead of a garage :-)

It's steam with tobacco toxins in it. It's not steam from a tea kettle or steam engine.

Most of the the sodium nitrate that people consume is from fruit and vegetable sources, not cured or smoked meats. Do a search for sodium nitrite vegetables. Root and green leafy vegetables are very high in them. The bacon and such you see advertised with zero added nitrites use lots of celery seed and puree to provided the needed nitrite to preserve the bacon.

Many vegetables have more nitrate and nitrite in them then bacon or other cured meats.

although aquagenic urticaria, AKA allergy to water, is a real thing...

Technically Vaping only contains one of Tobacco's toxins, it's Pure Nicotine in a Glycol solution [which in and of itself probably has a few toxins it contributes to the mix when vaporized.]

It's called 'Vaping' rather than 'Steaming' because it's not steam, it's a non-water vapor.

That's primarily dependent on how the vegetables are raised. If they're raised at home with primarily compost rather than straight manure [or worse, chemical fertilizers] then the sodium nitrate levels are virtually undetectable.
