Liberty's Edge

The cover has the Half Elf Swashbuckler...and another gentleman who, I would almost swear, is a Shoanti Bloodrager with an Earthbreaker.

That's the actual cover? Looks pretty nice.

Seconded!

Sweeet, I'm glad there's a male in Light Armor finally.

Brawler looks human, so does slayer and whatever that third class is (most likely hunter)

Liberty's Edge

Linkified.

And one of those is the guy from the cover, who I'm still betting is a Bloodrager. The female human in front is almost certainly the Slayer or Brawler (I'm betting Slayer) and the third guy...maybe Skald? Or Hunter, as suggested. He appears Ulfen, whatever he is...which makes me think Skald even more.

Thanks. I only just joined so I don't know how to do the links thing here.

If you take a look under the comment box, there's an expandable section about how to format text. It's got the instructions for linking etc. in there :) Welcome to the boards.

The ulfen on the left... I may be wrong, but that thing on his shoulder looks a lot like the wide end of a horn...

I think it's the Skald iconic. Ulfen with a warhorn...

That was my thought. Looks like a slayer, skald, and bloodrager. Glad to see an awesome beard for an iconic.

@Adjule: Yeah, and seeing that the Slayer looks like they're from northern Garund, possible Osirion, is nice too!

I wonder which Iconic we get to meet first.

I don't think the one in front is female...looks like he has a mustache to me. I would also go with Slayer on that.

...maybe. The image is...not good (though having it at all is wonderful). Could just be dark-colored lips and maybe a shadow...or you could be right. I honestly can't tell.

If it is the Slayer, you're likely right given the male pronouns in that section...so you're probably correct, now that I check on it.

The black looks a little high to be lips, so it might be a mustache. So looks like slayer is a guy.

Yeah, I believe all 3 are males, and the middle one (which we believe is the slayer) looks like it could have a goatee.

Man, I was hoping the Slayer would be a more traditional fantasy character, I'm very happy with the Swashbuckler on the cover. The Ulfen is awesome!

Actually I am digging the Slayer. kind of has a cool Al-Qadim. Sinbad-y feel, or like the BA guy from the mummy. Really digging all of these.

I don't know it was mentioned in here (and I apologize if it was) but I believed that they confirmed that War Priest (which should really get a better name Templar, something) would be a Male Half-orc. I think this was confirmed in one of the paizocon interviews i listened too from know direction podcast, i'll try to confirm my source.

Yeah, this has been proven. He's a follower of Gorum, too.

So:

Confirmed:

Male Half Orc Warpriest of Gorum
Female Half Elf Swashbuckler

Speculated based on art:

Male Shoanti Bloodrager
Male Ulfen Skald
Male Garundi (?) Slayer

Other things probably known based on gendered text:

Female Arcanist
Female Brawler
Female Hunter
Male Investigator
Female Shaman

And based on the races and genders we've got...a female Dwarf and Halfling seem likely. Of the other three, at least two are Human, and all three might be.

Go go female brawler! Punch those dragons in the face!

I'm really hoping the Investigator is a gnome or halfling that pulls off a Sherlock Holmes look.

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

If it is a female hunter, I really hope they don't make that a female dwarf, seeing as the ranger is a male dwarf, and hunter is part ranger. And the slayer looks like he could be from the same area as the cleric iconic, as their clothing is pretty similar.

But yeah, here's hoping for a non dwarf hunter. Though between the arcanist, brawler, hunter, and shaman, I am going to guess it will be the hunter for a female dwarf. Female dwarf brawler would be pretty interesting, IMO.

Yeah...I think The slayer is a Keleshite

Dark Archive

Would be nice to have a small character as a martial class (All the halflings and Gnomes have been casters of various degree if memory serves.)

Um....Guys?

you might want to see this. I think it's........all of them.

Awesome Link

Dark Archive

Annnd another none martial small character... (sigh)

Pathfinder Lost Omens, Rulebook, Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

I'm guessing.

Known:
Male Half Orc Warpriest of Gorum
Female Half Elf Swashbuckler
Male Shoanti Bloodrager
Male Ulfen Skald
Male Keleshite Slayer

Remainder:
Male Garundi Investigator
Female (Redheaded Human) Hunter with wolf
Male (Human or elf?) Brawler
Female Halfling Arcainist
Female Dwarf Shaman

From left to right I'm guessing it's:

Human male Investigator
Halfling female Arcanist
Human male Skald
Human(?) male Slayer
Human/Half-elf male Brawler
Half-elf female Duelist
Human Hunter female (with wolf companion)
Half-orc male Warpriest
Human male Bloodrager (or possibly Shaman)

I only count 9 characters though.

...Wait a minute. Is that a gnome to the left of the wolf?

Edit: I just realized the book blurb lists the warpriest as the warpriest - guess they decided not to rename the class after all?

Actually looking at the parts of the figure outside the outfit I believe its a dwarven woman.

A female dwarf makes more sense than a female gnome since we already have Lini. However, if it is a dwarf I'm a little surprised that she's noticably shorter than the female halfling - based on the height charts the tallest female halfling is about 3'2" and the shortest female dwarf is 3'9".

I guess the dwarf might be kneeling or the halfling might be standing on something.

...Oh my God. The halfling must be wearing high heels.

I'm betting the Brawler is female. Too hard to tell for sure from this angle, but that balances the genders and the text refersd to the class as female.

Other than that...I think you're right.

Though the lower three on you're 'known' list aren't really known, just theorized.

Considering her outfit and the outfit of the guy to the back right of the slayer (headgear), I think the dwarf is more likely the shaman.

Or maybe the halflings the shaman and the dwarf is the Arcainist.

I wonder if the Warpriest is now, officially, the tallest Iconic? He seems to be slouching and still taller than anyone else in that picture.

Brawler better be female. I can only imagine a rivalry between her and Amiri...and her punching dragons in the face.

I have to do that as a brawler...at the correct level of course. But I will happily punch my way there.

Wait, what if the halfling is a guy and the brawler character in the back is a girl?

Must get clarity from Piazo staff.

Asking JJ.

Amongst humans, females, on average, are shorter than males. This 'average' has been carried over into fantasy games so females of other humanoid races are often, on average, shorter than males.

So if the dwarf and halfling females are at the minimum height for her respective race, this doesn't really bother me.

Kind of disturbing question, what happens if Amiri and the Bloodrager were in a relationship and they fight, then have angry make-up cuddle time?

Can one pounce while making angry love?

Would a child conceived of such a union be born with exceptional power?

is the slayer dual wielding kukris? Friggin boss!
Also, shoutout to the Earthbreaker getting some iconic love.
And I love how unorthodox it is to see a DWARF shaman, I'd imagine that being more up the Shoanti's alley.

Nah, Shoanti tend to frown on hair in general, the infant would be slain on grounds of having uncontrollable hair growth every time he gets angry. Or hears a baby cry.

Dat bloodrager

Dat greatsword!

Seriously, may not be a giant's bastard sword, but I think it's bigger than Amiri's!

Amiri isn't Shoanti (she's Kellid), so he doesn't have to be born in Shoanti lands.

But the Bloodrager IS, so...grounds for another 'lovers quarrel' with ANOTHER round of angry sex?
