Would the Adopted Trait allow you to take two race traits?

As the subject says, would the Adopted SOCIAL trait allow you to take two race traits, one from your actual race, then one from your adopted race as Adopted?

No. Nothing in the adopted trait says that it allows you to break the Trait rule regarding how many traits you can have from each category. Of course there is always the talk to your GM option if it's not PFS.

And further note that some traits are confusingly in multiple categories - some of the Gnome racial traits are also "social" traits to theoretically at least you can't take those via the Adopted trait since doing so would break the rules on traits categories due to the duplication of the Social trait category.

(however in home games at least I would probably just ignore this as a bit of jankiness that Paizo hasn't repeated since they realized that it makes things kinda ugly) but technically in PFS I think you can't take those traits without actually being a Gnome
