The more active guilds usually keep their recruitment threads on the first page or two of the forums.
Just be aware that the first post may not reflect the nature of the company today, especially for the older ones.
Although the Nihimimonocon has a complete listing, many of them are not active or have since disbanded or merged with others

The link is very nice, but no quick summaries of the about 52 of the 63 on the list.
and the OP threads either don't give enough information, or in Pax Aeternum's case it's an overload of information.
And given the last time stamp of some it's possibly a dead guild.
Hence if there is a quick summary here, it could reflect an update in guild thought.

I'm not trying to replace the various guilds' threads or Nihimon's guide to them. I might include some very brief information like the alignment tag George Velez requested for his group, but I'm not adding information that isn't submitted for addition on this thread. I'm sorry if that is disappointing, but I'd like to keep this simple and opt-in only.
Again, the list is opt-in only, I only include people and information posted in this thread. For example, I know that Mbando has stated an intent to form a paladin-focused order called "Peace through Vigilance" in the past, but if he doesn't post here, I'm not going to assume that intent stands or list him individually even though I still see him posting in other threads.
As our knowledge of the game changes, some of the details you're looking for may become moving targets, and this list is not a substitute for the individual announcement & recruitment threads of these player organizations. Those organization-specific threads should stay more up-to-date or even be replaced as needed. If you see the posters you more often enjoy reading are members of a specific group, I'd encourage you to look up that group's specific thread, and as Deianira just pointed out, Nihimon has compiled a handy list of those threads.
I'm sorry if this is disappointing, but I hope you can understand the problems involved with guessing at how these groups' information should be condensed, trying to keep up with all of them as they change, or listing people who may be unlisted by choice.

So... if anticipation slows and fun speeds would you say the fun of posting has counterbalanced the drag of anticipation? Does the second half-year seem any faster than the first half-year?

What is EE? (Where I come from, it used to be our electricity company Eastern Electricity.)
I am a Pathfinder Online backer, think I pledged 100 bucks way back when, so I am wondering if this EE thing is PFO related in some way and I've missed a kickstarter post or two?
What's the keyword for the Steam thing, as I saw mention of it being a Steam game/purchase somewhere amongst these pages?
I usually find that games people discuss on these boards are worth investigating.

EE = Early Enrollment
With your $100 pledge, you will have access to EE when it comes about.
As for Steam. GW has talked about adding PFO to Steam, but as far as I know, they haven't done it yet.
Good answers. To elaborate on the last point, you are right that Ryan brought up the idea of launching via Steam, but nothing conclusive has been said in that direction. It's not on Steam yet of course, as Alpha testing hasn't even begun for it (unless GW is being real sneaky like with that). :)

Thank you to Beleriand, BrotherZael, OTG Jasil, & Anthony Adam, I've added you. :) ...The name is Jasil. OTG is shorthand for "The Old Timers Guild". Having OTG as a prefix to my name will allow other Old Timers to quickly spot me when they start lurking in the forums.
I understand, and the 'Pax' at the beginning of this alias is the same sort of thing, but for the purposes of this thread I use the name someone posts under. If you want to switch to another alias I can alter that next time the list is posted, but I can't edit my previous post at this time and it will likely be a few weeks until I repost it.

I have yet to pledge allegiance to any community or guild, and will likely maintain many open relationships (heh heh) with many companies come EE and release, as that is generally just how I am! ^^

I'm Sadurian, primary character Malaficia. I'm part of TEO.
Not as active as I would like to be, mainly due to my postgraduate studies being rather more important (I know, I know).
My primary hope for PFO is that I can play the character I want in the manner I want, and have the world react to me appropriately. I want it to be an immersive experience rather than just a stat block racking up the numbers.

Not as active as I would like to be, mainly due to my postgraduate studies being rather more important (I know, I know).

I would recommend looking into Shadow-Haven.
They are an oustanding, upstanding community that will cater to your every needs. As for a company, you will have to look around on your own. Stay away from TEO, T7V, UNC, Path Forgers, and Nettles for sure... maybe Pax will help you. They are rather huge however.

T7V is not exactly opposed to necromancy. I can think of even a few character concepts that would be acceptable to T7V.
T7V is a seeker of knowledge and necromancy would be part of that even if we don't use it.

From what I understand Making undead or such will be evil but won't make you have lower reputation since you don't need to be a bad player to be an evil character.
I believe that you are right. The "heinous" flag will make you a free target though. That may not be a problem if you have trusted friends and/or you like to fight. ;)

I'm guessing the 'BrotherZael' guild was not a serious update request, since you seem to be off-topic and clowning rather often, but if you actually plan on trying to solo, I'll list it and wish you good luck with that.
Looks like next week may be a list post, since I usually repost it on the Wed. or Thurs. after a new thread page or new month. Please let me know of any further additions, updates, or corrections before then, keeping in mind that I'm only adding information posted in this thread. If a group leader wants brief notes (like intended core alignment of the group) listed, they'll need to post it here. Also, I'm listing the username/alias people post here. I intend to just copy & paste now, to avoid further errors like the i/l thing.
