What is the Lost Lands?
The Lost Lands is the home campaign world of Necromancer Game's and Frog God Game's own Bill Webb. This campaign has been continuously running since 1977. Many of the adventures published by Necromancer Games and Frog God Games are directly inspired by this campaign. They have evolved over the decades, and more material continues to flow from it as the dice keep rolling.
Sages and wizards of legend speak of the Lost Lands—many of the players who have lived and died in Bill's campaign over the years now have a place in history (in the books).
Frac Cher the dwarf, Flail the Great, Bannor the Paladin, Speigle the Mage, and Helman the Halfling are well known to the fans of Bill's work. This is the game world, and these are the adventures in which the players of these famous characters lived and died. Hundreds of players over the past 35 years have experienced the thrills and terrors of this world. The Sword of Air is the centerpiece of the Lost Lands.

SCROLL DOWN FOR AN EXPLANATION OF ALL THE PLEDGE LEVELS
Currently, this epic tome (estimated page count 500+) consists of several parts:
1. The Hel’s Temple Dungeon—kind of like Tomb of Horrors on crack. This six-level, trap-and-puzzle infested dungeon formed the basis of Bill's game through his high school and college years. Clark Peterson’s very own Bannor the Paladin spent several real life months in the place, and, sadly, finished the objective. This is where the fragments of the fabled Sword of Air can be found…perhaps.
2. The Wilderness of the Lost Lands extending to the humanoid-infested Deepfells Mountains and providing detail about the nearby Wizard’s Wall. This so-called “wall” was raised by the archmages Margon and Alycthron harnessing the Spirit of the Stoneheart Mountains to raise the land itself, creating a massive escarpment to block invaders from the Haunted Steppes. These archmages are actual player characters from the early 1980s who live on in the legends of the Lost Lands. Over 70 unique encounter areas are detailed, and each one is a mini-adventure in itself. New wilderness areas may be added based on bonus goals described below!
3. The Ruined City of Tsen. Legend has it the city was destroyed by a falling meteor. This place forms an aboveground dungeon area the size of a city, with over 100 detailed encounter areas. It’s a very dark place…even at noon.
4. The Wizard’s Feud—This campaign-style adventure pits the players in a long-running series of intrigues and battles between two archmages. Which side will they take? Their actions all play into the overall quest, and could well determine which side wins. Law and Chaos are not always what they seem, and if the wrong decisions are made, the entire ordeal could fail. Remember, one of the wizards WANTS Tsathogga to win.
5. New monsters, new demons, new spells, and new rules for various aspects of play.
6. [Bonus level—see bonus goals below] The Tower of Bells. This dungeon is the result of the workshop Bill ran at PaizoCon 2013, where the participants assisted him in building an old-school dungeon. Visit the tower and discover the secrets of the “artist” within. Beware: those entering may never come out!
7. Character-killing Session (Bonus Module! See below). This adventure is a sequel to Wizard’s Feud, and was first survived by a party in Dallas this June. This is what happens to the players should they choose the wrong side in the war between the wizards; a sort of “second chance” should they fail. The adventure itself harkens back to 1980 or so—even so, no one ever lived through it until recently.
8. [Bonus Map—see bonus goals below] A fold out map of the entire Lost Lands
9. Bill Webb’s Book of Dirty Tricks. This utility will allow Bill to share some of his infamous secrets of play in the Lost Lands. It contains many nasty adventure hooks, fake leads and other tricks that a Judge can spring on his players; and it’s keyed with some links to this adventure.
The bonus module titled Character Killing Session will be added to the book; estimated page count 32 pages. This book will only be available with this Kickstarter at certain pledge levels. Bill Webb’s Book of Dirty Tricks will be available later for purchase.
Funding Level Required $75,000

Fixed that - link was redirecting to a Paizo error page. Don't forget the http:// , that prevents that =)

Interesting, this seems more fragmented. I guess I was expecting a mega adventure similar to Slumbering Tsar.
Can we get some additional info these parts:
1. The Hel’s Temple Dungeon
2. The Wilderness of the Lost Lands extending to the humanoid-infested Deepfells Mountains and providing detail about the nearby Wizard’s Wall.
3. The Ruined City of Tsen.
4. The Wizard’s Feud
What level range are these?
Are they tied together in any shape or form, story wise?

We're going to be giving out samples along the way! I have one of the main NPCs almost ready for when we hit 100 backers (we'll be posting to the updates, and various other places).
It is all tied together, smorgasbord-style (trying to get away from everything we do being a sandbox; we have a cat on the front cover, mind you! lol)

My suggestions to those that did not get the information about this kickstarter except by accident. Read the FFG blog from time to time and subscribe to the Rana reader at their website. You will be well informed of all the goings on with the Frogs.
Thanks for the suggestion, but I am a subscriber to the Rana Reader. But since all the other folks who are doing a second or third Kickstarter use this option I think it will sure inform more people and hopefully potential backers.

Almsot done--I have completed Tsen and the Burning wastes, all but the last 2 levels of the hel's Temple Dungeon, the entire (and massive) wilderness section, and Bill Webb's book of Dirty Tricks.
Still in process:
--Wizard's Fued adventure (about half written)
--Levels 4-5 of Hel's Temple
--The Lead Mines below Tsen (drafted)
--The Adventure Path Summary Chapter
--The bonus module (Character Killing Session)--playtested the draft last weekend!
Art is out on everything written, lots of very nice color maps, all the cover work is done. We are on track to deliver in fall 2014 as promised. The art is fantastic so far, and Robert Altbauers maps are better than I imagined.
The leather is at the printer, and I have contracted the blacksmith (that's right Steve Geddes--blacksmith!) and woodworker for the Nuclear Edition books. These will be hand crafted metal and cherry wood books/boxes. To say they are nearly breakeven is an understatement--but they will be the nicest books ever made.
Look for many updates to our kickstarter page, along with artwork and teasers coming soon.

CKS was run at Paizocon and Gencon last year--and several times locally.
Paizoncon one group had 3/10 die, and they beat it. One group had 5/10 die, they also escaped.
Gencon had 6/15 die, and they beat it.
Maybe 10 sessions locally in the past 2-3 years--three groups have beat it--last weekend (very polished version of the adventure)--I had 8 players (all kids age 8-14, but used to me and VERY good players); 4 lived, 4 died. 7/8 made it to the final encounter and three bit it at the end.
That being said, these kids are formidable players--some of the best I have ever played with (trained by my daughter). They play at school and with me and my kids on weekends a lot. All SW players.
I requires a lot of creative play to take on an adult dragon with no gear (hint, hint).CKS is a thinking dungeon.

brvheart wrote:A thinking dungeon? That leaves most of my players out (j/k)! Although Pathfinder does get them too spoiled leaning on their abilities and their magic and not their wits.thats going to get expensive in printer ink and character sheets! lol
Yeah between RA and Tsar there have been around 26 deaths already and that doesn't include all the players that decide that this is too hard and they leave. I think we have been through more character sheets that way! Lately in Tsar it has just cost them a lot of gold in Raise Deads, Resurrects and Restorations. Running from a combat just isn't in this groups vocabulary! Problem is they usually defeat the encounters that are way over their heads even with the loss of life!
