Armor spikes for a Monk

Advice

Sovereign Court

Any way a monk can use armor spikes without wearing armor? I think this may be a quick no, but maybe you guys know of some trick.

Demonspike Pauldrons come to mind.

That aside, they are ARMOUR spikes, you know? They go on armour.

May I ask why you need to know?

The Exchange

I can visualize a rather goofy-looking full-body leather harness with spikes jutting out of it - one that's not technically "armor"...

...the only problem is, every time I visualize it, it's being worn by Dr. Frank N. Furter. (Stop haunting me!!)

I'm not sure why you'd want such stuff, since (barring multiclassing) you need to spend a feat on Martial Weapon Proficiency (armor spikes).

spiked gauntlets might work?

panthro from thundercats looks like a monk with spikes n stuff

Cuz monks are boss grapplers but don't wear armor?

The character concept was a Leonal-descended Agathion-blooded Aasimar, so I already had Liono in mind. Panthro might be better though.
