After playing my first season 5 scenario, I was looking over the sheets and noticed the new, faction specific boons players can receive access to. If you GM the scenario, does your character gain access to the faction specific boons? It seems the reference in the GtOP has not changed, but that will be a lot of characters running around with benefits from sponsors they do not work for:
Chronicle sheet, such as free magical treasure, regional
boons, or future bonus die rolls. - pg 37

If the character you apply the chronicle to is of the appropriate faction, then yes you can take the faction specific boon. This should follow along the same lines as Rivalry's End and Way of the Kirin.
