Schism: Ok then you are back in the hallway that is bisected by the 3' wide river of black fluid. As you head north for 40'. You can continue to follow this pathway which starts heading in a northwesterly direction, or their is a pathway heading off in a northeasterly direction.

*Takes a peek down the northeast hall.*

Sovereign Court

Schism: Just so you all know these are more like natural caverns 20' to 30' wide. The northeast passageway goes for 50' to a T intersection.

Peeks down the northwest passage.

The northwest passage goes for 80' and opens into a larger cavern.

*Heading down the northwest passage.*

Sovereign Court

The passage opens into a large cavern(100'x 100') filled with a bubbling pool of black fluid and a powerful odor of rotting meat.Streams of the liquid trickle from cracks in the west wall and empty into the pool.

Without warning the pool starts to boil. A whirlpool widens over the surface, going faster and faster.

Getting the heck outta there.

Sovereign Court

Schism: As you back out the whirlpool subsides and the liquid ceases to boil.

Odd!

THE GREAT DEVOURER APPROVES!

consumes a turkey and spicy chicken submarine sandwich and his companion, the nasty orc go to work

being a narrator doo doo doo da doo

as the battle rages on...

Thing about being a gelatinous cube is that you don't really eat. Instead, you engulf something, then dissolve it, then if the stuff you got from it is no good, it ends up in a slime trail when you move. Thus, no need for standards. You also never have to worry about your mouth being too small. You can always paralyze something and begin dissolving it at one end.

*looks meaningfully at the holy narrator*

I always wondered about that. At least you have discerning tastes.

Sovereign Court

Jenny: Very well put, It's as if the words just slide right out of you. 8>)

Can I help? I wanna smash, too.

1d20 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15
1d8 + 12 + 3d6 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 12 + (6, 6, 4) + 9 = 42

Edit: Activating the Blessing of Smashy which lets me reroll an attack with a bludgeoning weapon. 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26

Is the fondue king still alive?

Sovereign Court

AMH/Schism:Imagine beef stroganoff exploding over the walls and you have what remains of the troll.

Ewww... troll.

I hate internet trolls.

What is an internet anyway?

Sovereign Court

Don't look at me, thats after my time

Looking for way to shut down whirlpool.: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 25

Sovereign Court

Schism: Leaving the room shut the whirlpool down, other than that. Their seems to be no other way =(

...Burble...

I need another sandwich.

Looking into the room.
I Spy With My Little Eye: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (20) + 15 = 35

Walks up next to Schism. "What do you see in there? Anything I can eat? I am getting hungry now."

AMS/Schism/Nasty: This is what you spy

Nasty walks into the room just inside to see if the whirlpool starts again and what it does.

Sovereign Court

Nasty: As you stroll in the pool starts to boil. A whirlpool widens over the surface. going faster and faster.

Get out of there, you idiot.
That is the same black liquid that almost turned you into a bug.

Nasty sheepishly leaves the room.

"Sorry."

Sovereign Court

Perception: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (5) - 2 = 3...Ugh

Nasty: As you back out of the room, the whirlpool subsides, and the surface begins calming down.

Does he see anything in the pool which would lead him to believe there is something there of value? If not I suppose he looks at Schism.

"Next room? This one has black stuff me no likey that stuff."

He looks back into the room to see if he sees anything that may help the group.

Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16

Sovereign Court

Nasty: You could swear that you saw a hazy image beginning to form in the middle of the whirlpool.

He walks back into the room.

"Something in the pool ... maybe something to eat? For my Master the Great Devourer."

Sovereign Court

JRR Tolkien wrote:

Nasty: Ok then..This ^^^ starts happening again, do you dare stay longer?

*Stands behind Nasty to yank him out if need to.*

If not yanked back he stays in the room to see the form being created in the whirlpool.

Sovereign Court

Nasty: A hazy image rises from the whirlpool and hovers in mid-air-the ghostly figure of a large orc....wait that image is your father!

The image opens it's mouth to speak, and the party hears a voice in their heads as soft as a brass band during mardi gras. Come to the trees...come to the trees... The image then disappears and the pool is suddenly calm.

A puzzled look on his face.
"I think that was my father ... only I have never met him or know what he looks like. It just looks like what I have always thought he would look like. We need to go to the trees ... only I don't know any trees here. You see trees Schism?"

This orc is hallucinating.

AMH: Voices are in your head to so.....

*Looks around the room.*
