Well if they were prone to do that, I suppose they'd be called Stalaglooses instead.

Did I succeed in disabling the pit trap?

Alissa: You most certainly did

Exploring the room.

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22

Sovereign Court

Alissa: This room is completly empty.

"Boss, you need me to do anything but stand here and look pretty?"

He says as drool and spittle come from his mouth and a foul stench on his breath.

:::chuckles softly:::

You can go in. Be careful, I do not trust an empty room.

I sneak into the room, all quiet and stealthy like

I suppose if it is dangerous, I may as well go out like this

I think to myself, then if i survive crossing into the room, I turn to the rest and say

Well, what are you waiting for, Saint Cuthburt to smack you on the rear, let's get moving ladies and gentlemen

Sovereign Court

Arty: You sneak across the room and st. cuthbert does not in fact smack your rear. The room is empty, would anyone like to make a metagame check?

Metagame: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20

Sovereign Court

Jenny: The room is empty except for the rather nasty trap lying 10' below you and disabled.

"Hey guys, the room is empty. Well, except for that trap we found."

Nasty walks into the room beside Jenny. He looks around and shrugs his shoulders.

"Boss empty room. Can I go to the next one?"

Should I use my power of invisibility for good or for evil?

Hey, jellylady, I'm standing right here, so obviously the room isn't empty. Boring, yes, dull, certainly, lacking of substance germain to the enhanced lifestyle we are accustomed to, absolutely, but empty, it aint.

Come out of there. I am going to trigger the pit trap to see what is under it.

Trigger Trap: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17

Sovereign Court

JRR Tolkien wrote:

Alissa: It is a pit trap that if 5 or more lbs are put on it, the floor disappears and anyone in the room gets to make a reflex save at -4, if not you fall 10' and are stuck in a very sticky contact poison that does 1d6/rd.

Funny that the bug was the one wandering around alone as he would have been stuck in flypaper.

Also It would be a good idea to do the corridors of glass first.

Alissa: This is the trap in this room.

In character we only knew of the trap, not what was beneath it.
Also, didn't remember.

Checking along the glass corridor.
Searching: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19

Sovereign Court

Alissa: Good catch!, I don't know how I could possibly screw that up. Also that room was in the corridors of mist

Ok then you all make your way back to the main room and make your way down the Corridors of Glass. The corridor goes 130'forward to a golden door. 50' forward and to your right/east is a passageway, 90' forward and to your left/west is a passageway, 110' forward and to your right/east is a passageway.

Now I am confused. I thought we were already in the glass corridor, and the first door we looked through was the empty room with the pit trap.

Left Arch: i.e. Corridors of Shadow, 50' long hallway with a 10' wide opening 25' down the hallway, Key is shown at the end of a 10' long hallway

Middle Arch: i.e. Corridors of Glass, 50' long hallway with a 10' wide opening 25' down the hallway, Key is shown at the end of a 10' long hallway.

Right Arch: i.e. Corridors of Mist, 50' long hallway with a 10' wide opening 25' down the hallway heading to the right. The key is shown at the end of the 50' long straight hallway.

There are no other exits from this room

All: Ok reset, you are all in this room and have been down the corridor of shadows i.e. The left archway. The wasp went down the Corridors of Mist and almost became stuck in the pit trap

Ok. We will continue exploring the Corridor of Mist.

Use my roll for exploring the corridor to the east.

Sovereign Court

Alissa: Ok then this was the corridor that had a golden door at the end of a 50' long hallway, behind the door was the empty room with the nasty pit trap. 30' down the hallway and on the right/east side is a passageway.

This passageway is 70' long ending in a golden door, 50' down this hallway is a passageway heading south.

Going down the east hall. Stopping at the south junction. What do I see?

Sovereign Court

Alissa: The south hallway goes 170' before it begins a slight bend to the southeast. 50' down and to the right/east is a passageway, 140' down and to the left/west is a passageway.

Also for everyones info climbing walls made of the vinegar smelling cloud-like material is quite easy; a climbing character can punch or kick as many handholds or footholds a sdesired.

"How does the cloud taste?"

Continuing to door.

Search for Traps: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29

Sovereign Court

Nasty: The cloud tastes like rancid vinegar, but here's the best part as you remove a chunk it instantly regenerates so you now have all the rancid vinegary cloudstuff you could ever hope for 8>)

Alissa: 20' in front of you is a golden door that you have become quite familiar with. You find a trap on the right door handle.

He takes a bunch chewing on it. "Tangy, pretty good."

He takes a bunch and reaches out to hand some to Alissa.

"You want some? It comes right back like magic. Might be good on troll or beaver."

I ate some bad humus once, boy did that come back like magic, really bad magic.

I haven't bludgeoned a peasant in hours.

"Yeah nothing like eating bad humans. They are fighters when you try and swallow them whole."

He says without a smile on his face.

"Oh Pheasant I like those with some cranberries or rassaberries."

Sounds like there is a south-paw out there with a serious grudge against right handed people.

I open the left hand door. What do I see?

Sovereign Court

Alissa: This 10' x 10' room is empty except for the iron ring centered in the floor. The ring is about 1' in diameter.

You know that as soon as someone does not check for traps that the left handle will be trapped

Nasty walks up beside the team leader and says. "So whats in here?" He walks by her into the room and walks up to the iron ring and trys to pull it up.

Strength Check: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12

Sovereign Court

Nasty: Your efforts to pull the ring are fruitless

6 people marked this as a favorite.

He looks down at the ring and yells at it intimidatingly.

"Open you thing."

Intimidate: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (6) + 16 = 22

Sovereign Court

Nasty: The stone around the ring groans and opens up, revealing a spiral staicase leading down a 4' wide passageway.

Say the secret word and you win a prize.

Liberty's Edge

"Whaaaa?"

"Good job, Nasty!"

Ditto. Let's keep moving.

Looking proud of himself he heads down the stairs to see what is below not bothering with a torch since he has dark vision.

*Follows 10 feet behind Nasty.*

Looking for Traps: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29

Sovereign Court

Nasty: at the bottom of the stairs is a 60' crawlway(4' diameter) heading south. As you reach the bottom you see a humanoid creature crawling toward you. The creature has gray, leathery skin and a hateful light burns in it's eyes. It is wearing a necklace around it's neck. The creature is 40' away from you.

Alissa: You and everyone else, except maybe Arty will have to crawl behind Nasty. If there is a trap Nasty will find it 8>)

Is there room at the bottom of the spiral stair for the tall ones to stand, or does it immediately become a tunnel?

Looking back at Alissa. "I think I found a snack. May I eat it?"

You may, but don't swallow the necklace or anything else that we may want.

Sovereign Court

Arty: The bottom of the stairs immediately becomes a tunnel, But I think you can stand. You are less than 4' tall yes.

Nasty: The creature moves 5' forward and pulls a bead off of its necklace and throws it at you. Please make a reflex save with a -4 penalty for half damage.

Fire: 6d4 ⇒ (4, 2, 2, 1, 1, 3) = 13

Fortunately for the rest of the party your large size blocks the fire from damaging them.
