Nasty, if she moves again, bite her legs off.

The slave is getting away!

Scarab Sages

Knowledge (Engineering) in case there's anything nifty to know about that tunnel: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (20) + 18 = 38

Tvashtri catches up from his long and thorough examination of the delightful black-and-white spiral tunnel in time to get the gist of what's happening now.

"Apologies friends, that was an extraordinary feat of architecture and engineering back there, was it not? It felt like it was drawing us into some sort of...twilight dimension of sight, sound, and mind, and...er, I suppose we should do something, shouldn't we?"

Wicked Weaver scuttles forth and vomits a massive web onto and in the way of the mysterious fugitive.

Reflex save DC is 17.

Sovereign Court

TAK: With a roll like that, you know how it works and are positive you could build one if you had the inclination

Snarla's body goes stiff and her eyes glaze over, her head turns to look at you all and a deep voice issues fron her throat.

I SEE YOU

She is totally stuck in the web

Scarab Sages

Tvashtri pouts and puts his hands on his hips.

"Is that you, great-grandfather? Another one of your tricks?"

"I hate driders and spider demons, someone tell me it's not a ginormous spider thing!"

@All
"What are prioroties?"

Sovereign Court

TAK: The voice is not a relative of yours or anyone else's for that matter.

TD: I don't like spiders and snakes, but that ain't what it takes

After her statement she dies, crucified on a cross of web

Scarab Sages

Knowledge (Planes) to sort out what just happened: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13

failing that, Knowledge (Religion): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

That was weird.

Sovereign Court

She was possessed and then her soul was ripped from her being, you know just another day in the Tomb of Boorors

AMH, quick and make a circle of protection from evil.

I can do circle of protection against good. Will that work?

Scarab Sages

"Hmm, I did have a feeling."

"So no spiders?"

Oh wait, the protection from possession is not alignment-specific. We should be good.

Well... Not good, but you know what I mean.

Sovereign Court

Between all the various circle of protections and spiderbane. It appears as though you have exorcised the spirit

"So what are we doing now?" He says as he pulls off one of Snarla's arms and starts eating it.
"Waste not want not that's is what Mama always told me. Also that I was her favorite."

With that apatite of yours, she would be too afraid to say anything else.

Sovereign Court

Through the door in which a half eaten Snarla is currently webbed to is a beautifully ornate room: The floor is covered by fine oriental rugs, the walls by erotic tapestries and shimmering curtains, the ceiling by an intricate mosaic depicting a summer sky dotted by fleecy clouds. In the norteast corner is a large and lavishly-covered bed, strewn with cushions. Next to it on a low table is a buffet of sweetmeats, cakes and other delicious-looking comestibles. In the northwest corner of the room is a brass bound oak chest.

Trap loves this room, he strides and springs by the table of food, get a couple of good bounces on the bed and lands near the chest with his eyes wide and his mouth full of pastry.....

"Ohhh,,,frouph whas tis?"
Mouth full of pastry

I love sweets! I start stuffing fistfuls of cake alternately in my mouth and my backpack.

Sovereign Court

TD: The pastry tastes like iron rations. You do disable the trap and inside the chest you find a spellbook and 2007 EP

"This must be Orc chow!"
"Nasty those cakes are for you!"

"Nice pillows!"

Begins swapping out the 2007 EP for the pillows in his bag of holding.....

Sleight of hand
1d20 + 14 ⇒ (13) + 14 = 27

"And a spellbook!"

Scarab Sages

"Indeed. May I?"

Tvashtri starts flipping through the book.

Sovereign Court

TAK: The spellbook contains: Fear, Haste, Dispel Magic, Web, Stinking Cloud, Scare, Magic Missile, Push and Shield.

Whose room is this?

"The lady from the hallway? I would guess."

Sovereign Court

Yip, this is Snarla's room.

Scarab Sages

Tvashtri scan's the grimoire's contents with a critical eye. "Hmmm....I shall need to hang onto this!"

"Oh, hello Jenny, I did not see you there."

I'm going to take this oriental rug. It might be worth something.

Hey, The loot is supposed to be split, not go into your personal pocket.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Hey everyone. Was cursed by Forohfoore, black demon of bad communication for a month. Back now, and it seems everyone is still in working order. Good job, everyone!

Now, I like those tapestries, despite the lack of geometic solids and sporulation. How to carry them off...

Scarab Sages

"Oh yes, how positively blind of me! These look very much like some of the works from my homeland of New-Tashboor-On-Ruins-Of-Old, where some wizards weave their magic directly into such works...."

Tvashtri appraises the tapestries with a clinical (and magical) eye....

Appraise: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17

Sovereign Court

The tapestries are worth an additional 200EP and that wraps up this section.

Jenny: That 404 demon is indeed a fearful opponent, congratulations on beating his sorry ass.

If only that big fluffy bed, a mecha mage (thumbing through a tome of spells and a orc eating a table full of pastries weren't providing concealment, I might buy it!

I was only going to keep it long enough to whack something and have it spill out all over and yell pinyata and bonzai while it's happening.....

Uh Huh!

"Food for me?" He walks runs over to the table and starts to gobble down everything there.

"this is pretty good stuff Alissa you should try it." He reaches out with a half eaten cupcake pink frosting on his nose. he smiles a big grin across his face as he stuffs another chocolate cupcake into it.

Uh, you can finish it.

Sovereign Court

You all manage to clean out poor Snarla's chambers. That wraps up this particular section. If you head east through the spinning hypno chamber it will bring you back into a corridor facing north.

20' in front of you is a thick metal door, flanged so that they overlap the doorjamb on the northside and thus can only be opened by swinging them to the north.

Nasty opens the door.

I stand behind Nasty, my rolled up carpet in tow.

Sovereign Court

Nasty/AMH: 10' in front of you is another thick metal door identical to the one you just opened. You note that if you were to let go of the door you have open, it would close on it's own accord.

I smell a trap.: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (7) + 15 = 22

Alissa/TD: You both see nothing out of the ordinary

Nasty, I will keep this door open while you go open the other door.

"Okay." He lets her take the door and walks over and opens the other door.

Sovereign Court

Nasty: Upon opening the second door, 10' in front of you is another metal door identical to the previous two

Okay, I'll hold that one open.

As he goes through the first door he checks the back-side of the door...DM can the door be removed from the backside?

Trap has his anytool at the ready!
