If the material you bought doesn't tell you what it's about, I'm not sure any one can.

Otherwise, I'd suggest you go and read some X-Men comics.

hah cute, the books are at the DM's house, i dont have ready access to them.

im reading it online atm.

but ty for channeling the internet knowitall response :P

Being able to power surge at the proper time along with the some of the special racial abilities can make a heavy hitter. I suggest utilizing the powers that change your body. Might take a look at natural weapons as some of your powers known. Getting a psionic crystal will also help, its a scout and it can store more power points.

Also, there is a feat (at least in 3.5...haven't read the newest one fully) That gives you life for every psionic feat that you take, including that one.

Being able to choose what element the power might take is also very helpful for all occasions.

The Psychic Warrior (Meditant archetype, I think it's called) makes a good Monk.

Deadly fists, Flurry of Blows, a good amount of Power Points, and some neat powers (including one that gives you Pounce, basically, as a 3rd level power).

So if you ever wanted to play a Monk that's effectively a 6th level caster, here's your chance.

i was thinking of some way to make the feral warrior path work with meditant.

i love monks, psychic monk? why not

i like natural attacks, makes sense.

take hustle, flurry of blows after i move? OH YES PLEASE

Anyone with good suggestions or guides for the feral warrior path?

the campaign we are gonna do is custom, and we are apart of a rebel strike force, thats all im allowed to know. so the idea of my weapons being something i dont have to lug around seems beneficial there.

I suppose that by APG Psionics you mean Expanded Psionics. What level will you guys start?

i honestly dont know, im not even sure if the DM for it knows. all in all assume level 1 tho.

definitly want to try and make feral warrior path work too.

Here's a Psychic Warrior Guide

thanks for the link to the guide! i was actually just looking it (google ftw eh?) i also saw a post, ill link it at the end here, where a guy gave an example of a build, and he was somehow taking improved natural attack at level 1...so not getting how thats possible.

wish there were more people trying this stuff, finding any information on feats is killer. trying to look at them one by one...its difficult.

Meditant doesn't look like it meshes too well with Feral Warrior; you have powers to give you natural attacks and then you can't use them in Flurry of Blows. I'd just go Feral Warrior. 2 claws and a bite would all be all Full Base Attack bonus and full strength damage.

For feats Psionic Meditation lets you get back Psionic Focus as a move instead of a full round, so you could get it back as a swift action by casting Hustle. That could go well with Psionic Fist and Greater Psionic fist, which gives you extra damage and the ability to expend your focus to do an extra 2d6 or 4d6 respectively. At level 10 minimum there is Advanced Feral Path which lets you add your path's extra to hit to damage as well; it also gives you a rend attack on a charge.

Not everyone likes mixing comic book superpowers with their fantasy. Psionics has it's devoted clique here though, just look for them. That fanbase however may just fracture when Paizo puts out it's own psionc material

ya i was looking over meditant, would require minimum of feral combat training and still, might not be that great.

Psionic meditation-so didnt see that, definitly gonna have to find room for it early i think. that sounds like a every battle kinda useful. so long as i have something to spend my focus on.

psionic fist would require feral combat training wouldnt it? as its unarmed strikes, not natural attacks. I should probably edit the main body with my build idea thus far. only to level 5, and dont even have my feats selected for that far, just powers.

edit: apparently it wont let me edit my own post, so ill put it here.

EDITX2: just re-looked up psionic fist, includes natural attacks, IN IT GOES

Spoiler:
1-Feat: psionic body
1-bonus Feat: ready response
1-Human Feat: Psionic Fist
1-Power: Expansion

2-bonus Feat: Weapon Focus (claw)
2-Power: Metaphysical Claw

3-Feat: rapid metabolism
3-Power: Force Screen

4-Power: Hustle

5-Feat: Improved Natural Attack (claw)*approved by DM*
5-Bonus Feat:psionic meditation
5-Power-Animal Affinity (psionic)

edit: build updated

Psionic Fist says unarmed strike or natural attack so there is no issue.

Also Psionic Meditation needs 4 ranks in Auto Hypnosis so it can't come in at level 1. Also Multiattack does nothing if you are only using primary natural attacks (which claws and bites are). All of your primaries are at full BAB and full strength. It could come in handy if you ever get secondary natural attacks. Power Attack is also good.

hmm, i thought the bite would be secondary honestly...

i also thought if i had decent wisdom *at least 16* and put a point into it id have 4, or is that only 4 ranks that i spent personally? in which case i wouldnt be able to get it until level 4.

If it says ranks it means skill ranks invested, not your total with modifiers. Because of that a lot of things have a hard level minimum.

Here is a detailed explanation of natural attacks as well as a chart showing which is which type.

hmm ok. i removed tehm from my list, now i have to figure out the other stuff lol.

and can you explain why all 3 attacks are at full bab? coming from say, a druid, it seems as tho one of the natural attacks is supposed to be secondary.

edit: and you beat me to it lol. your being very helpful.

edit: updated the build.

thanks for moving to a mostly dead subforum >.<, guess ill figure it out myself.

I don't know about you but I look at this view for these boards so it's not as dead as you think. No idea what percentage of the people here do that though.

Psionic Body is nice if you are planning on taking mostly Psionic feats (which it seems you are). I would drop Rapid Metabolism as it's not terribly useful. As you have a low selection of powers you could also take a feat to get another known if something else tickled your fancy. I personally like Vigor but I don't know if I'd feat for it.

thought maybe it would be useful to heal up in between fights. but im sure i can come up with something.

thankyou for all your help chaos

edit: according to http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/psionic-powers/b/bite-of-the-wol f

bite of the wolf becomes a secondary attack if i use it with my claws wouldnt it?

FIFY

"If you bite as your only attack, you use your highest base attack bonus on the attack roll, and you can apply your full Strength bonus to damage. If you bite in addition to making other attacks, the bite is a secondary attack."

this would imply its a secondary attack not a primary if i use it with my claws.

I didn't really read the power all the way through before. Normally a primary only counts as a secondary if used with manufactured weapons in the same round, but yeah it looks like the power overrides that.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Bite of the Wolf is under a slight revision for Ultimate Psionics - it is (as far as we have determined so far) meant to work as a Natural Bite Attack.
