A few questions about poisons

I've been thinking of using poisons more, and I had a few questions about them that I was hoping to have answered.

1. What is the weight of a poison? Does it vary by type? I haven't been able to find it on the SRD.

2. How can you delivered an inhaled poison? Can it be thrown, or does it have to be applied directly? I was wondering if it's like a splash weapon in how it could be thrown.

I'd treat poisons like potions — no significant weight, but technically 1/16th of a pound or something (I think it says somewhere that potions can be like that?). If the poison was in gas form it would obviously need a heavier container that might weight a pound or something, but I'd fluff-rule that all inhaled poisons are liquid and only evaporate when exposed to air, which would keep it's weight low.

Inhaled poisons must be opened in some way —be it uncorking, or smashing— to use. One way to smash a container is to throw it, yes.

If you didn't know, inhaled poisons take up a 10' square when used.

A good question that you did not ask is what would the range increment be for throwing an inhaled poison, which is related to it's weight. Since I personally consider them to be of negligible weight, I'd give them the 20' range increment, just like alchemist bombs and thunderstones have.

Overall, for a lot of poison issues, particularly with inhaled poisons, you have to make houserules and judgement calls within reason. The whole poison and drug system in PF could really use a huge overhaul (along with thorough explanations)

I'm not aware of any reference to poison weight. The antitoxin is defined with "0" weight, so it would be reasonable to say poisons have no weight, either.
