The Worldwound Incursion: PDF interactive maps query

Website Feedback

Hey I was thinking about running this campaign via roll20 and getting the subscription to the AP line...

However I cannot find any details as to if the .pdf files have interactive or clean maps or not.
I know some of the older AP lines (skull and shackles) had interactive maps but I haven't read or heard anything about this one having them or not an read that the last AP didn't either.
I am currently running a RoTRL campaign as of the moment and unless the pdf files that come with the AP subscription have interactive maps I can put off purchasing the series until a bit later.
This said, if they do come with interactive maps I will be signing up now to save on eventual costs/the time spent creating my own maps.

Anyway sorry for being a bit here and there but anyone who can answer this question would be much appreciated.

Interactive Maps are a feature that is available to all Adventure Path volumes starting at Carrion Crown (as well as the Rise of the Runelords Anniversary Edition). They will continue being available for future Adventure Path volumes.

Good to hear and thanks for the response, I have only ever bought hard copies in the past and despite my career being in IT and design never ended up running a vtt before now.

Is there a separate purchase option for the maps with RoTRL or will I have to shell out for the full pdf.

I will be getting on and subscribing to the AP line now however as I look forward to what the worldwound offers.

Speaking of interactive maps, I've yet to find a good way to extract maps from the interactive map PDF - is there a program that allows you to do so? Maps in normal PDFs I can extract via Nuance PDF reader.

At the moment I'm using print screen on the interactive map and editing the image in GIMP, which is a rather annoying process.

hard to say, I will have a look and post back my findings here if it
doesn't involve compromising the file's security.

Outside of that I work on a 1600p monitor so print-screening isn't
particularly inconvenient for me thankfully.

There likely will be a seperate purchase of the interactive maps, but not until after the entire AP is out. At the moment, the maps for the last couple of parts likely aren't fully finished for the print copies, let alone having gone through the interactivising process.

Rise of the Runelords is completely out though?

There may be a bit of miss communication here, my original question was if the AP line pdf files contained interactive maps, something that Chris Lambertz confirmed.

My followup query was if the Anniversary edition of Rise of the Runelords (RoTRL) had an interactive map folio as a separate purchase somewhere or planned to be released or if I would have to buy the pdf file to gain access to the interactive maps as I already own the hardcopy.

As far as Adobe products are concerned, interactivity and ease of extraction are kind of opposite poles. The non-interactive PDFs of the AP volumes are far better suited to image extraction.
