9 days hopefully

I wonder if my article got art. Hmmmm...

Dark Archive

well most articles get art, don't they?

He wonders if his article got great art.
The chances of that are high; I've never been disappointed (2 Jess Door, 3 Butterfrogs, one JesmondCat, and... was it Stephen McAndrews did the Outiko?).

i've never been disapoineted with my articles art either

I have. The art has always been sadly lacking for the articles that didn't make it to publication. Nothing more than stick figures, really. Man, I'm a terrible artist...

Think of it positively, ulgulanoth, all this anticipatory butt-clenching will be doing wonders for your pelvic floor muscles.

Dark Archive

will it be today? the suspense, it kills me...

End of January, last that I checked, was Friday.

We are plugging along, but there's still a lot to do. I'm hopeful that we'll get this thing up on Friday, but I'm not making promises. Several of us have had a pretty busy and stressful January, but we're still trying.

Please be patient with us as we try to release the best Wayfinder #10 that we can!

If you illustrated for Wayfinder #10, you may now start posting your pieces on in your galleries. Consider this your "green light".

Thanks!

How soon? Now that I've seen the art for my PrC, I can't wait.

Zylphryx probably pulled an all-nighter getting all the corrections done. Because I do NOT want to break the poor guy, we'll pick it back up later today, and review the final draft tonight. If we find that it's OK, or that we have relatively easy things to fix, we might be able to post it late tonight (Friday). Otherwise, we are looking at Saturday, provided Paizo will approve it on a weekend. If not...then we are looking at Monday.

Sovereign Court

Nah ... I got an hour of sleep ... would have gotten two but I got a text from my job at 710am asking about an email that was scheduled to go out this morning. ;)

The art in this issue has just been amazing. I hope the 3PPs are paying attention, 'cause there are a lot of talented Paizonian artists out there.

Dark Archive

I have linked my artwork to the Wayfinder page on Deviant Art. Let me know if the work I did was for your article or any thoughts you might have. I love this magazine!!

Dark Archive

All I'm seeing under Wayfinder on Deviantart is a page of instructions on how to make stained glass star ornaments...

Got a link? :)

Hmm...caught a mistake on the sun hag description, methinks. "An emancipated and hideous woman stands in the dunes..." I mean, I'm sure she's a very modern and progressive lady, but I don't think that was the right word choice.

I caught that in proofing, but it must have gotten lost in all the other proofreading suggestions. ;)

Yes, we all caught that error...it was the funniest one, so it stood out...but it somehow did not get corrected. We really wanted to get this issue out for viewing last night, though.

I expect an update later this weekend.....after Dain gets more sleep!

S'okay, Tim. As editors we know it'll never be perfect on release. I only noticed because I always tend to skim before getting to the monsters...because, monsters! That aside, this issue is amazing. I look forward to giving it a good leisurely read while everyone else is watching their little ball game.

RPG Superstar Season 9 Top 32

Awesome! I've given the skim and just love it. This is honestly the first Wayfinder I've picked up (I know...shoot me!) but I'm definitely going to go back and from now on!

Why would I shoot you...that'd be one less person reading Wayfinder!

Honestly, with every new issue, we always see newcomers, and an increased download on all the previous issues...and even the Chronicler Anthologies!

Welcome aboard!

Big shout out to Haunted Jester and Canada Guy for their great art and map support for my adventure! Thanks guys!

Tim - great job to you and the team, the issue looks fantastic!

Wow. The artwork for my haluscar is ten times better than what I was imagining! I love it!

Now to work on my next article :)

Getting each issue out is immensely satisfying for me...but since taking over the art direction for each issue, it is the art, and the reactions to it, that thrill me.

I read every submission, and re-read every article. I give a general idea to each artist on the "scene" I have in my mind for the article, and leave it up to their incredible talents to bring it home. And they do not disappoint! And then, I get to hear the authors' reactions. And the readers' reactions.

So, when I get to hear and read the praises for the art...#1 I feel very good knowing that I'm doing something right, and #2, I feel REALLY good knowing that a lot of those artists are getting the recognition of their talents that they deserve!

Promotion of new talent is what Wayfinder's mission has become, and I am so very, very happy that we can fulfill that mission.

I can personally second Tim's point about artists getting recognized via their work in Wayfinder. We've used a number of folks who contributed to the e-zine's look for products published at Legendary Games.

There's some awesome stuff in this issue, and over the next few days I should hopefully have time to sit down and read through it all. At first glance I'm impressed, both with material by some familiar names, and folks whose work I haven't previously been exposed to. :)

I also want to thank everyone on Wayfinder's staff that put in a ton of effort editing, doing layout, matching writing to artwork, and everything else that went into producing a really awesome issue.

Thirdly, since this was my first time submitting anything to Wayfinder, I'm still giddy over the artwork that each of my two pieces received, it was awesome :)

It was my pleasure Mark. Tim is amazing in his assignments and I was honored to do this piece for you and the magazine.

Okay to post the stuff that didn't get in to this Wayfinder to my thread, Timitius? I figured I'd give it another few days, just to let everyone have had time to read the good stuff first, but I can hold off longer (or whatever) if you prefer.

I have no problem with you sharing your other ideas. As long as people understand that we had tough choices to make and could not take everything everyone submitted...

Yep, Iron Hills Games has used a couple of artists from Wayfinder as well.

In case you hadn't seen it - Wayfinder 10 is up on the Ennie 2014 submission list - check it out! - It might not get to be shortlisted to be voted on, but getting listed is a fantastic achievement!

And let me be the first to say well done to everyone involved with this issue!

Liberty's Edge Contributor

Thanks for the kind words, Anthony. Tim submitted #10 for consideration. Although we didn't make it into the voting, we are immensely proud of the work everyone did in putting that issue together.

Wayfinder #10 may not have made it into the final voting, but... Paizo Fans United is a nominee under the Favorite Publisher category!
