Looking to make a variant on the spell Compel Hostility. The Goal is to keep it a 1st level spell.
The proposed change is to make the spell an immediate action to cast but it will only effect attacks during the round it is cast. The question is how many attacks should it effect to keep it balanced (duration line).
A- One attack.
B- One attack per caster level.
C- One attack per caster level limited to one attacker.
D- One attack per threatening creature.
E- All attacks from one threatening creature.
F- Your idea here.
Thanks for you input!
Example changed spell
COMPEL HOSTILITY – NOW!
School enchantment (compulsion) [mind-affecting]
Casting Time 1 immediate action
Components V, S, M (a drop of your blood)
Range personal
Target you
Duration ???????????????????
Saving Throw see text; Spell Resistance see text
Whenever a creature you can see that threatens you makes an attack against one of your allies, you can compel that creature to attack you instead. When you compel a creature to attack you, you must first overcome that creature's spell resistance, and the creature can attempt a Will saving throw to ignore the compulsion.
A summoner casting this spell can choose his eidolon as the target of the spell.

It's a 1st level enchantment spell. Make it all attacks (E) as it otherwise complicates things. By the time you'll be regularly facing creatures getting multiple attacks (6th level +, generally) They will laugh at the save (10+ Attribute bonus + spell level, average DC 15) or, barring a true neutral caster, have it nerfed by a protection from X (as it definitely fits the enchantment/charm school)
