i wonder how this will look like at the end of the week, they're already up at most of the stretch goals...

I'm more interested to see where they end up at the end. :)

Oh, there are plenty more stretch goals ... :)

The Exchange Contributor; Publisher, Kobold Press; RPG Superstar Judge

Indeed there are! One of them has just been announced: adventure path designer Amber E. Scott will be designing a set of tomb magic spells if we hit our next goal!

Oh, and if we hit 400 backers, there's a set of 5 PDFs added to the Kickstarter for fans of divine magic...

Scarab Sages Contributor

Just nine backers to go until we get to those free PDFs for those who pledge $20 or more!

400 total backers, Amanda. As of this writing we need 37 more.

But take heart! That is really not that many at all. Tell your friends!

I just backed at the $40 level. I just could not resist the addition to my spell casting classes.

One thing I did not see was support for Hero Labs. Will there be a file for it?

The Exchange Contributor; Publisher, Kobold Press; RPG Superstar Judge

Funny you should mention that. Right now we are piling more spells into the book and bringing on the best designers we can find.

But Hero Lab support has come up more than once. I would not be surprised to find it on the list of possible stretch goals...

Aw, crud. Got ahead of myself a little bit there. :) So yes, please everyone, tell your friends!

... he says mysteriously ...

15 more backers to hit the 400 backer mark. Surprisingly enough, even a $1 pledge counts.

Sadly, I can not pledge..... Until I get out of work.. At 6am.

No worries, you still have time - the Kickstarter is just getting started :)

The Exchange Contributor; Publisher, Kobold Press; RPG Superstar Judge

Ding, 6 AM, and we've added new material to the project. Every pledge at $20 or more gets a set of Divine Favor PDFs that deliver a bunch of options for clerics, druids, inquisitors, oracles, and paladins.

And both Richard Pett and Amber Scott are doing a set of spells for Deep Magic as well.

To be truthful Orthos, I've been feeling queasy ever since the concept first occurred to me.

Is Logue working on Tantric Magic?

Oohhh - I call dibs on doing the illustrations!

I shared the Kickstarter with both my Friday and Wednesday gaming groups. One of my Wednesday players has joined, but I cannot get the site to show me more than about 30 backers. It reaches a point and show a spiral and says "Please wait" but it never expands.

A little less than $500 to go until we hit the $26,000 goal!

And, I have a pretty strong gut feeling (or it might just be the nachos I had for lunch) that once that $26,000 is reached, both the $28,000 AND $30,000 goals might get revealed together at the same time.

Why would that be? Well, fans of a certain popular character creation software might be very interested to see what the $30,000 goal is ...

Of course, I also might not have a clue what I'm talking about .... :)

WotC's Character Builder? :-P

This is bad, and you should feel bad for saying it. ;-P

Liberty's Edge

Heh, yeah ...

Although we can't know for sure until that $26,000 goal is met and the next 2 goals are revealed ... I'm pretty sure WotC's Character Builder is *not* the popular character creation software in question :)

Just $15 away from the next stretch goals revealed.

The Exchange Contributor; Publisher, Kobold Press; RPG Superstar Judge

And BOOM! Not one but TWO new stretch goals revealed, including support for Hero Lab files!

It's true, and I've been wanting to say it for the last day, but now YES, if we hit this goal all the Deep Magic spells will all be available to backers in HL format.

Details at the Deep Magic Kickstarter

Will the spells be on the PFSRD? I'm in for the book, but as a VTT GM, I'll need to be able to make the contents accessible to players scattered across several states.

That's not really in the hands of Kobold Press, but there were some posts about 'seems like we'll have a lot of spells to import soon'.

Yep, as Cheapy says, putting them in that database is up to the folks at PFSRD.

However, I can say that the spells will be open content, they will be in Hero Lab files for backers, and I want to make them broadly available. They won't be trapped in just print or PDF!

The spells must flow.

They could all, you know, buy their own copies of the book when it comes out :)

Am looking forward to getting this book in my hands!!

Any word on who is doing the cover for this book? Or are we already looking at the cover art amongst the images on the Kickstarter page with the art we're already seeing?

And YES Hero Lab files, excellent addition, no doubt this one will be unlocked within the next day at the pace the campaign in going.

Wouldn't worry about the PFSRD side of things, folks there seem eager to get their hands on this and onto the site as anyone else.

I'm not telling just yet. But I can say that as soon as we hit the Arcane Art & Wizard Marks stretch goal, I'll have another art sneak peek. And more discussion of the art is coming.

The pace is fast, but backers are always welcome. Every pledge means a better book, because we're piling on additional spells in proportion to the goals we hit.

Well Fine! Here! Take my Money! hehe

That's insane: it's almost 3 times the pledge O_O

Insane was the kickstarter for a certain miniatures company.

Scarab Sages Contributor

The stretch goal for 500 backers has just unlocked, and it's pretty darn cool -- all Adventure-Wizard ($60 or more) backers and above get to submit one spell for publication by July 8. The top 30 spells will be edited, developed, and published in Deep Magic. Check it out!

Joined up Tuesday because I can always use more spells.

Liberty's Edge

Less than $100 until the HeroLab files goal is reached!

I'm in! Actually I was in yesterday but whose counting. Now I have to come up with a wizard mark...obviously something that says insane but still fashionable ...

The Exchange Contributor; Publisher, Kobold Press; RPG Superstar Judge

Big hair always says "insane but fashionable." Especially when spiked up with bat guano.

Publisher, Dreamscarred Press

Good grief, those are some big names attached to this project! That's just awesome.

I am curious, Marc. You seem to know a lot about the project, are involve somehow?

Hey! Back in the mid-'80s to early '90s, big hair said super awesome and cool!

Trust me, I know of what I speak :)
Nothing to do with the Kickstarter :).
