I posed this question in my PFS group and could not get an answer so I will ask it here.
Right now gold weight is becoming an issue for my character and I was wanting to know if I am in a fairly large town like Absalom would it be possible to convert my gold into PP?
Also I would like to know if there are any advantages or drawbacks to such a conversion. I am still pretty new to all this so please forgive me if I don't have a solid grasp on this subject.

I prefer gems, lighter and prettier.

In Preferences, there's a way to turn off "coin weight."

I have done that already. But if possible I still would like an answer to the conversion question if possible.
The general assumption is that if you have a lot of money, you leave the bulk under the mattress at home, or in a Vault of Abadar, or buried 30 paces leeward of the Devil's Throne, or carry it around as gems, or hide it under the tea cozy at your great aunt Gert's. You got 99 problems, but gold ain't one.
