When does your animal companion get bigger

At what level does you animal companion get a size bigger.

4th or 7th. In the animal companion section it should have the stats, when they advance, and what changes to make when they advance.

It depends on the animal companion. It will list when it gets bigger, along with other changes, under the advancement sidebar in the bestiary.

Most are at level 4 or 7.

Depends on the animal. Cat(lion,tiger) go from medium to large size at druid level 7. Horses stay Large size always. Others go from small to medium at 4.

thanks reason why I asked as I have a wolf companion and had 1 week away from RP due to illness but part y plaed my char and I advanced to 8th LVL.

When the Dm put the playing figures down my wolf had gone from med to large wolf when I asked what had happened was told it was because it had made a level and the group had checked this out.

Me looking now under wolf read Starting Statistics: Size Medium,7th-Level Advancement: Size Large. I think they got it wrong.

If you are playing a druid, the wolf should have become large when you reached 7th level.

Since you are playing a ranger, it shouldn't grow large until 10th level (since "the ranger's effective druid level is equal to his ranger level – 3").

You have another option if you don't want it large:

want it large think party had made the mistake of thinking wolf is same level s me will ask next time I see them, it just confused me when I saw how big my wolf was.
