Destroyed or Ruined Armor

Rules Questions

What happens when armor is reduced to zero hit points?

I get the broken condition halves the AC and doubles the armor check penalty, but what about when it's ruined?

Des the armor fall off?

Does it grant a zero AC bonus but still the doubled armor check penalty?

at 0 its destroyed, at =<1/2 HP it is broken.

I would say it doesn't "fall off", but you get no AC from it. If I were GM I would say if your armor gets destroyed in combat you can "shake it off" as a free action on your turn.

Sovereign Court

Your armor isn't removed when it's destroyed, but you no longer gain any benefit or take any penalties from it.
If it's light armor, it might be light enough to be fixed by mending. If it's heavier, look for a make whole.

I agree that you would get no AC benefit from destroyed armor.

However, even though I don't see any written rules on this, as a GM I'd rule that you have double the armor check penalty until you pry yourself out of the ruined husk. I'd also reduce the time required to shake yourself free of the remaining bits. It would probably be a move action or full round action depending on how it was destroyed.
