LOL, Howdy Cap! I am blaming Cosmo for the ebb of John's thread, it can be no other!

Well Cosmo has tried on several occasions to shut down this thread...he has not succeeded yet.

Well you do have to feed your threads with the occasional bump posts. If you don't they will go hungry till the reach page 3...in which they just starve to death.

that's what they say about house plants, but mine are doing just fine... Or are they not supposed to be brown and desiccated.

Well it is the winter so maybe that is how they are suppose to look...

In the future, all surviving house plant species will have naturally selected to be brown and dessicated-looking. So really, you're just helping.

How do I get my brother to stop ranting outside my door in a panic any time he sees a new broadcast regarding Donald Trump's numbers in the polls? It's essentially "TRUMP'S GOING TO WIN AND ROUND US UP WITH THE REST OF THE LIBERALS AND GAS US LIKE THE NAZIS DID TO THE JEWS, BECAUSE HE'S CHRISTIAN AND LOVES GUNS AND WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE WHEN HE GETS ELECTED!!!" This paranoia's getting annoying because, while I think Trump's as abominable as he does, I don't think he has a serious chance of winning the general election, especially given many of his supporters don't plan on voting at all, let alone vote FOR Trump. What do I do?

It seems like I am all ready living in the future as my plants all ready look like that.

Ooo...politics.

Tell your brother that Trump is the Democrat only hope of winning the next election. The Trump is a Godsend to the Left. That he should go out and encourage his republican friends to vote for the Trumpster.

You know....if knowledge is power...and power corrupts...does the mean knowledge corrupts?

Ooo I have go to some threads and ask about that...as answering my own questions is kinda of self serving.

Pssh, I got one better for you.

I don't believe any of this, but it's funny:

They say Money is the root of all evil. (Money = v--evil (that's supposed to be a square root sign)

Time is Money. (Time = Money)

Women take time and money. (women = time x money)

SO:

Money = v--evil

therefore

Money x Money = Evil

therefore

Time x Money = Evil

therefore

Women = Evil

I knew I made the right choice!

Bring on the women!

Also, to expand upon that, if women are evil, shouldn't gayness be the path to godly virtue.

If you're a man, yeah. Or celibacy. Or asexuality.

Funny thing is, as the spoiler says, I don't believe any of it.

Especially since the foundational text constantly taken out of context for the basis is that the love of money is the root of all evil, not the money itself.

Obviously, it's all b*#~@!~+ :-)

I dare say it is the unmitigated lust FOR money that makes it evil, as those consumed by greed generally will do whatever it takes to make more of it.

But, to in a silly way respond to Green's logic

:
breasts = good
women = breasts
thus
woman = good

:) yep, all those years of philosophy in college and the minor I received did allot of good (actually did minor in philosophy, rather glad I did, course minored in anthropology and history as well, and majored in English language and critical theory, no wonder I work in an office!)

Also, thanks John, appreciate the sentiment, and my dad entered PT yesterday, hopefully in a few weeks he will be back home.

Oh, and Happy New Year!! E-champaign for all!

Response to Response:

You know, there are things that aren't women that have breasts, whether they be chickens, extremely morbidly obese men, or those who've undergone surgery but haven't completed the process.

I agree that - in the way you're referencing - those are extremely good things, as much as I love the T, (eh, get it? pun?), I'm more of an A-man myself. Still, it's a glorious and happy world when you have a woman with both.

...and a personality. Gotta make sure to add that part. Very important, that. I'd only put up with a lack of personality for like...six...seven weeks at most. :-D

Well said Scruffy, actually I am a sucker for a nice taut tummy and a well formed A myself, went with T's for logic's sake :)

Have a Happy and Safe New Years everyone.

You too John! All I know is tomorrow, I am slow roasting a whole duck and drinking good hard cider, ahh, the simple pleasures of life. Took the day off, and I am going to enjoy it gorram it!

I shall await the new year the same way I do every new year, hole up in my pillow fort, and await society's inevitable fall.

And if it doesn't we go to McDonald's.

You know I did go over to a friends last night...I won't get into that right now....but on the way home at 2 in morning I stopped by a McDonalds that was open when I got onto the drive-thru line...and I was 3 cars away from ordering when the placed close down. very annoying.

That does sound annoying, society didn't fall, this time.

Maybe the driver at the window had been passed out for a half hour before you got there?

Nah...I saw money and bags of food be exchanged by at least two cars.

What sounds cooler?

Galifalon ("Friend of Everyone")

Ladahlen ("Love of the Forest")

Not knowing how they sound I would go with Ladalen with the meaning.

Friend of Everyone just sounds annoying to live up to.

Don't listen to this, Lucky. There are adults who aren't depressed, plenty of them, even older adults. Life is about perspective. You can't change most of the outside world, but what you can change is your own perspective of it. It's a blessing to be able to see the good in the world, because no matter the situation there will be some kind of good you can find, no matter how bad, and some kind of bad, no matter how good. There are billionaires who get depressed and homeless people living under bridges that appreciate what little they do have. (Admittedly this is not the usual pattern, but I think you get what I'm saying.)

John if you wait for your situation to change before you find joy, you'll be waiting a while. Situations follow attitudes, not the other way around. Every successful person who didn't just inherit their life had to plug away optimistically and fail repeatedly before they became a success.

I'm 39 and I have yet to grow out of my cheerfulness.

Ooh, don't get me wrong. I'm not cheerful, and I am often depressed, but I consider it a character flaw that I need to overcome rather than an excuse to embrace.

Buck up John, it is a new year, with unlimited potential! (that is what I tell myself anyway)

True....but it is more the time of year that gets me down....I am not usually this depressed...lonely sure but not depressed.
