I blame Cosmo for "Inner Sea BBQ Recipes" not being out yet

I blame Cosmo that Old Cat decided late yesterday afternoon, after sunning herself outside, she would disappear and stubbornly refuse to be found. Even though this is SW FL, yesterday only hit a high afternoon temperature in the mid 60s F, it was pretty windy, and it got down into the low 50s F/upper 40s F overnight. Old Cat is 16yro, not too active, and not eating so well lately, so prolonged outdoor exposure to cold weather isn't a good idea. I got up several times in the night to look & call for her, but nope... no sign. The neighbors' pack of five dogs, led by an always territorial extra-grumpy alpha female, growling & occasionally fighting with each other throughout the night did nothing to calm my nerves. However...

I blame Cosmo that there are people who think 55 F is cold (that's 13C, to the rest of us who aren't scientists).

I find 13C quite comfortable, it's only lower that it starts feeling even remotely nippy.

I have a friend from Portugal who comes up to visit me every year, and every year I tell her to bring clothes for "one season colder than you would wear at home".

And every year... HEAT WAVE!

Cosmo, you're messing with England's reputation as a cold, wet, and windy place.

Do you have a special deal going on with Hell, or something?

60 degrees? Ooooheee, if it gets that warm up here, I'm liable to be in my birthday suit!

There's a reason that south Tennessee/north Georgia is the northernmost I have ever lived or will ever live.

Chilly, yeah, but not cold (yet) to me. But I'm not an elderly cat with a weakened metabolism & immune system that is used to weather in the upper 90s with very high humidity.

I blame Cosmo that the rest of the world hasn't converted from Centigrade to Fahrenheit.

Also, Old Cat has been grounded inside the apartment. After she sat by the locked catdoor for an hour glaring at me, she calmly walked over and savagely mauled my ankle. Now she's hiding in the closet... plotting & brooding. Thanks, Cosmo.

I blame Cosmo for everybody's favourite slaad saying centigrade instead of Celsius. Give the man his earned reward for coming up with the scale (even if it had to be improved by Linnaeus who flipped it to put 0 at freezing and 100 at boiling rather than the other way around).

I blame Cosmo for the Fahrenheit scale: what kind of system uses a feverish core body temp (something Fahrenheit was unaware of during the measure) to establish 100° and the coldest point of salt water brine for 0°?

I've been on jury duty for the past month. The trial was scheduled for 29 days. I blame Cosmo that my boss is an @$$ and thinks that meant 29 CALENDER days and not 29 BUSINESS days, and is mad at me for not being back to work this week. I mean- what government office is EVER open weekends? Not to mention even the contract union pay says I get paid at an 8-hour day/40 hour week rate for jury duty. Really Cosmo, where do you find these dumb-@$$ people?

Just a follow up- the court sheriff tried to phone my boss and straighten it out- but only got his voice mail. So I gave him HIS boss's number...MUHAHAH! Er..I mean...I blame Cosmo for making me do evil things.

I blame Cosmo for Kretzer not understanding that Common Sense has been in a vegetative coma for some time, and pulling the plug was just the merciful thing to do.

I also blame Cosmo that my car has apparently picked up the Bleed (bank account) extraordinary ability.

Pre-face, I don't have the Kinnect on my Xbox One, but, consistently, when I walk into my room to play Xbox and sit down, I will reach for the controller, and before even touching it, my Xbox will turn on, as if it is reading my desires and anticipating my needs.

I blame Cosmo for everyone not having a Xbox like mine.

I, Mojo Jojo the alias, blame Cosmo for being created. Technically, instead of Cosmo, I, alias Mojo Jojo, should be blaming the Slaad or Master Kretzer for planting the idea that more aliases were needed, but Cosmo is to blame for being responsible for the existence of this thread where the notion was planted, which created me, alias Mojo Jojo. Everyone who is reading this with their eyes which do the seeing is probably wishing Alias Sydney Bristow was created, but alas, it is merely, Mojo Jojo, yet another slaad alias, who was made, thus placing the blame squarely on Cosmo.
