Advancing Rossie Cuswell

Skull & Shackles

In my current Skulls and Shackles game, I only have three regular players. The players decided to recruit Rossie Cusswell to their cause and often picking her to help them out with task, so they taken a shine to little halfling. The group just hit level 3, I think it would be a good idea to level Rossie up as well, keeping up with parties level as long they're using to fill up their fourth slot.

So any suggestions on what feats and skill she should take as she levels up? What type of combat build should she go for? Right now I'm thinking of keeping her straight fighter as the group consist of rogue, sorcerer, and cleric.

I rebuilt Rosie as a fighter with the mobility archetype. I also gave her the alternate halfling racial trait that give 30 ft movement instead of 30. Keeping the Fleet feat that she had in the adventure, that gives her a 35 foot move. She isn't a great build, but she mostly watches the ship while my characters roam. Crimson Cogward, who the party won over and who is smitten with one of the PC's, is now their Master Gunner.

Thanks Tumbler, definitely some good ideas.

We actually played Rosie as a character( the player joined late, and everyone was on the boat already) , and hence had her switched some :

normal 22 point PC stats. Bard (streetperformer 1), perform fiddle, perform stand-up comedian (cussing).

str 12 int 13 wis 9, Dex 16 Con 12 Cha 17 (roughly)

Force of will (old 3.5 feat, replaces CHA as main stat for will saves ) an later on Weapon finesse, Skill Focus Diplomacy, Dodge, Combat Reflexes, Vital Strike, Fleet of Foot, some other stuff.

Char caused a lot of havoc with Scourge's whip, and later an enchanted Scorpion whip (she actually carried four for various purposes )

Rosie I built up as a fighter/bard. She and Sandara (pure Cleric), as well as a Dwarf named Bombshell Betty (mad bomber Alchemist) have seen use as support or as played by "guest" players.

Other back up characters include Jackie Calico (f human rogue), Howell Davis (m human sorcerer), and in a few instances, even Owlbear, whom I kept a fisticuffs type fighter.

I have Herolab files for them but no host. When I get a chance, I'll try to put stat blocks up when I'm not using my phone. Or I could email them to interested parties. (They're all stated out as full PCs in a 20 pt buy campaign.)

Rosie is a great litle fighter and should be considered for leveling up. I would level her up as fighter. Her only issue is the 10 Con. He showed up the dwarven fighter in arm wrestling. Now he thinks she is deformed or something.

as of this moment in the SnS game im gming she is a lvl 7 cad and im enjoying her immensely. I use her more than my gmpc some games.
