Flesh to Stone and active spells

Rules Questions

A character is hit by Flesh to Stone and turns to stone. Say he had Mage Armor, Barkskin or whatever else running.

Are the spells frozen in duration, or still running and expiring?

Wow, good question! This is the way I see it:

Flesh to stone means the subject is petrified essentially, not living nor dead, per the spell. I think that spells such as Bark Skin and Mage Armor would be dispelled since the subject is no longer "Living". They are petrified and with that goes all the consequences that are such.

Intruiging; thank you.

The reason I asked was that the prospect of filling your animal companion up with all that buffy round-per-level goodness then using Carry Companion to freeze him until you needed him and his crap-ton of buffs didn't seem quite fair.
