Ship from Bloodcove to Absalom

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

I just recently started a GMing a game where the PCs were magicaly teleported from a custom campaign setting into the pathfinder world. They were magically teleported into the middle of the Mwangi jungle and will be riding down the Vanji river into Bloodcove with a goal to reach Absalom.

My question is...

What is the best route for a ship to take from Bloodcove to Absalom? Is the risk of going threw the shackles and around the Eye of Abendego safer and faster then going all the way around south Garund and up threw the Obari Ocean?

Absolutely better to take the Sargava route from Eleder through the Shackles, around the Eye. The Jenivere used to do it regularly until that little mishap at the Shiv.

That's a pretty good idea - Taking a "detour" from Bloodcove south to Eleder. The Sargavans already pay a stiff tribute to the Hurricane King in the Shackles, so they stand a much better chance to get through the Shackles and the Eye of Abendego than say a ship setting out of Bloodcove.

Your strangers to Golarion can gather all sorts of info about this possibility in/on the way to, Bloodcove.

Of course, Bloodcove must still be a profitable solution for the Aspis Consortium. Maybe the PCs can hitch a ride with a more powerful convoy taking the shorter route out of Bloodcove, one large enough to prove too tough for the effort of small groups of pirates. Wouldn't be cheap though.

Have fun in Golarion. The emergency exits are here, here and... Nevermind. Good luck!
