Help - PFS Nagaji - Naga Aspirant (Druid Arch)

Liberty's Edge

ALL HAIL the supremely generous Purple Fluffy CatBunnyGnome!

Ok, so I have the boon sheet to be able to run a Nagaji in PFS. This is too cool to pass up. The other option is a wayang shadow caster, but I think I like this better.

Nagaji have the special Naga Aspirant class. It probably isn't optimal, but I simply have to try it. I don't think PFS really requires the limit on optimization anyway.

The few druid players I've seen seem to do better when trying to build for wildshape melee combat with their animal companion than as a primary caster. So I think that is where I am going.
I usually make standard race, arcane, primary casters in PF, so this is way outside my comfort zone.

Wants to emmulate his Guardian Naga heroes (but he really isn't that nice). Seems like to go with the theme I should take the constrictor snake animal companion and usually wild shape to a snake form. Even though those don't seem like the universal 'best' choices I think I want to give them a try. Lizards are stil reptiles so if needed I could use those forms. Selter is enough of a pragmatist thought to take whatever shape if it is really needed. {Edit: Just had a disturbing thought, can you put gear on a snake animal companion?}

What I have so far is

Selter Sago
Nagaji
Lawful Neutral
Str: 18 (16+2), Dex: 12, Con: 14, Int: 10 (12-2), Wis: 14, Cha: 9 (7+2)
{seriously considering lowering the str 2 points to be able to raise thewis, int, and/or char}
Faction: Lantern Lodge
Traits:
Story Teller (single knowledge check +3 even if no ranks) Lantern Lodge specifc
Suspicious (sense motive +1 and is class skill)

Favored Class: hitpoints, I would really like to do skill points, but I think I will need the hitpoints if I am going to melee much
{Seems odd to be that the 'special' class for the Nagaji is a druid, but they don't have a favord class bonus for druids.}

Feats:
1 - Spit Venom
3 - Power Attack
5 - Natural Spell
7 - Planar Shape or Cleave
9 - Powerful Shape
11 - Divine Interference

Extra Spells Added to druid list (replaces the spontaneous SNA spells which is painful)
1 - ray of frost (seems silly to add a orison, but it would be nice to have one that is an attack for the first few levels)
2 - divine favor (luck bonus stacks with everything)
3 - acid arrow (long range, no save, no spell resistance)
4 - mirror image
5 - dispel magic
6 - displacement
7 - divine power
8 - greater invisibility
9 - see invisibility
10 - silent image
11 - shield

Augmented Form
9 - detect thoughts at will

I've never played a druid in PF. So this will be a stretch for me. Since the Naga Aspirant loses the spontaneous SNA, I will probably want to keep one prepared at my highest level. Other than that, I'm really not sure how this will go.

Any suggestions, omissions, errors, etc... will be gladly accepted.

Does PFS allow you to buy/capture and train animals that are not animal companions?

from UE:

Only creatures of the animal type of size Large and smaller may be purchased

from AA:
all animal companions on pages 28–29 are legal for purchase. Animals on pages 14–15 are legal for purchase except dinosaurs and megafauna (unless already allowed in this document in Bestiary 1, Bestiary 2, Bestiary 3, or Ultimate Equipment) and dire animals. Additionally, only creatures of the animal type of size Large and smaller may be purchased. Goblin dog is restricted for purchase and only available to goblin PCs;

The more I think about it, I think trying to keep track of another trained animal is too much more complication for me to deal with right now.
I think my spells and companion will be enough for me.
