Noticed that some games I played are not reported online.

So I played a couple of games at Games and Gizmos last year while I am visiting Redmond.

Checking my account, I noticed that these games are not reported.
From what I understand, the event coordinator was absent for some time, that these games will be up eventually. But it has been some time now and I notice they are still not up in the system.

So... What should I do...?
Can I use the chronicle sheets for these games? Is reporting a must? Or having the chronicle sheets more important?

Your physical chronicles are the official documentation. Online reporting is more of a back up and a statistical tool. Yes, you can use the chronicle sheets even though they may not be in your online record. Having the chronicles is the most important documentation for your character.

Hope this helps.

Great! Thanks.

My VC is breathing a down my neck for my lack of proper online records.

So those games are lost in time and space as far as the online system is concern?

I am not sure how you can be faulted for a lack of updated records that were not completed by another coordinator. Another option may be to contact Mike Brock directly for a resolution if your VC is coming down on you for something out of your control.

Oh no! He is not faulting me at all!

My VC is just concerned for me. As he is worried that if I lost any of my chronicle sheets, there is no online back up to fall back on.
(At least for these few games.)

I think I should just scan my all sheets and keep a digital copy of each.

Actually a very good idea. Something I need to do myself as I both play and GM. I am glad he is not faulting you on this and looking out for you in making sure your character(s) remain playable.

Games get reported online? I was just told "hang onto your chronicle sheets, they're the only proof you played a module."

Can you contact the coordinator of the event to see what this hold up is?

Lantern Lodge 3/5

I can try. I did hear they got someone or two to take over the reporting when I left. My last game there did get reported.

I was only visiting the area for a while, so I don't really know WHO the coordinator is... also it was like 6 months ago, last year... ...

Games get reported online, but the official record is the chronicle sheet. Games reported online is an extra layer of security in case something does happen to your sheets.

If you loose a chronicle sheet, and you have the game reported online, it helps to help you get a replacement sheet.

However, your online reporting is not an official account of events. For example, you cannot print out a list of your played games from the online reporting system and take that to a game day instead of your chronicle sheets.

So how does reporting games online act as a backup then?

Presume that I had my character and chronicle sheets all in one place and something happened. Would I be unable to play those characters ever again, or could the information somehow be pulled from online records (or somewhere else)?

If it was one or two sheets, I would contact the original GMs to issue you new copies of the chronicle sheets, assuming you know them or see them regularly at game days.

If you lost multiple sheets, or they were from con games that you wouldn't even know who the GM was anymore, then I believe the correct procedure would be to contact the VC for your region and see if they could help.

Finally, if you have the ability to, I would scan in your chronicle sheets into a digital copy for back up!

I've also got a few missing, and a few listing the wrong faction. I used the 'Report a problem' button a month or two back, but nothing came of it.

In the end, the website is Paizo's problem, not the player's. So don't worry about it.

I am missing quite a few from my early days. Of my 60 scenarios played, only 42 are online.

I am missing none of the 190 games I have been involved with (Play and GM). I have been able to do this by making sure I have the POC information for the coordinator of every game I am involved in, also being the coordinator locally and reporting all the games helps as well.

Wow being the coordinator helps more then I thought for making sure reporting is done correctly. Of the 190 sessions I have been involved with, I have reported 122 of them myself.

Mine are unfortunately passed the point of raise dead. The coordinator lost all their records in a car flood. Maybe a miracle could bring them back.

OUCH!!!

You could replay them...

I still have my paper copies. It's just that they will never be put online.

Getting scenarios reported online is important. I had a new player just move to the area. In the move he lost some chronicle sheets. I was able to check online to validate his experience and then print some replacement chronicles. If those games had not been reported on paizo.com he would have been out of luck.

GMs and Organizers should treat event reporting seriously. IMHO, events should be reported on paizo.com within 24 hours of the event. I usually report my game day sessions when I get home that night so I don't forget. It only takes a few minutes.

Players, it's still your responsibility to check that your sessions have been reported. If days go by with no updates, contact the GM or organizer to see what's going on.

Aside from the online stuff, I for one scan copies of my physical sheets.

As long as you have the properly filled out Chronicle Sheets, with the event code and GM number, it should not be a huge issue for your local VC/VL to track them down and update online as needed.

Each scenario has a "session sheet" tucked into the OGL text, so make sure your GM fills that out and uses it to update the online records.

If that isn't happening, ask your VC/VL to follow up. ^_^
