I've been trying to get my little brother back into RPGs, and he lives near there, so I'll see what I can do to get him to show :)

Liberty's Edge 2/5

Awesome! The more the merrier! I have one table currently. Hopefully, I will have a second table as well. I'm planning on running first steps on one table, the second will probably be a tier 2 table. But let's see what the turn out is.

In the event description there is now a link to sign up for games.

If you guys have questions or advice. I'm all ears. I don't know if I need to book a second table and what to run on it. We shall see what the numbers start saying. Still have a bunch of time to get this up and running.

Lantern Lodge 2/5

I'll put it in my calendar.
Its been a while from the last time i was able to play/

Any thoughts to running Adventure paths as well?

Excellent, I live in Schaumburg and will definitely be stopping by to check this out.

1/5

I won't be able to join you on the 23rd, but I hope to get there at some point soon. Good luck!

I, too, am out on 3/23; however, I hope to be able to make it the following week to at least stop in and say hello. :-)

Liberty's Edge 2/5

Wow! it's great to see so much interest in this! I would love to have you all there! I wanna see how it goes the first week before I figure out how many tables I may need.

@Valmoon - I have thought about it. Let me get up and running first before I decide if I'll be running Adventure paths. At the current moment, there are no plans for it.

@Mike Mistele - We would be glad to have you. And tell your friends!

@thunderspirit - I would love to have you. I hope to see you the week after.

I will be at the dice dojo tonight to chat with the GMs and promote my game. If any of you will be there, I would be glad to answer any questions you may have. I will post any updates I have here as I get them. Is there any scenarios you guys want to play? Let me know, I'll see if I can run them.

Sczarni 5/5

Is there a facebook event for signups yet?

Liberty's Edge 2/5

I used Cows for the first one. I couldn't get in touch with the guy who runs the stores FB page. I will see him next week. So I will hopefully use FB for the remaining events. There is a link on the Paizo event to the signups.

Sczarni 5/5

Cool. As a side note, I use 1 event code with a repeating event for things. Makes it easier.

Shouldn't be too worried, but make sure the cows site is dummy proof so everyone knows the game is at woodfield instead of Dice Dojo.

Good luck!

Liberty's Edge 2/5

That's the plan, and I hope I did make it dummy proof. I do have a few questions... Can I PM you in a bit?

Sczarni 5/5

PM away!

Liberty's Edge 2/5

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Looks like 1 table is almost full, Mike offered to GM a second table. Still ironing out the final details before I update. Hope to see many of you there!

Liberty's Edge 2/5

looks like we will be running 2 tables of First steps. Mike will be running the second table. Thanks again Mike B! I hope some of the rest of you will show up. I would love for the first session to be a blow out success!

Shadow Lodge 4/5 5/55/55/55/5 ****

My pleasure :) Looking forward to helping you get things up and rolling out there!

Rockin,' Mike! :-)

I'll be there, already signed up at cowsgaming.org

Liberty's Edge 2/5

For anyone who hasn't signed up yet. We still have a few openings left. and game is in 2 days!

I hope to see you guys there. Also, signups for next week should be going up sometime today. It will also be 2 tables of first steps part 2. Mostly because all the players are doing part one and I figured I could finish the intro series before running separate tables.

Thanks again for all your support guys!

Liberty's Edge 2/5

I just thought I would throw an update out there. I've been swamped at work so just getting to it now. We had a great turn out. Even with a few drop outs. We had a full table of 6. Next game is Saturday. Same place same time. If you guys have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me.

Liberty's Edge 2/5

Another fantastic session! We had yet another full table! The party did fantastic... but failed it's main objective... :(
That being said, still a rampant success!

Final session of first steps is this coming Saturday! Come join us!

Looks like I'll *finally* be able to make my way back home (i.e. really close to Woodfield) in two weeks - hope to join you for May 11! If you need or want a guest GM, let me know :)

Liberty's Edge 2/5

I might take you up on that offer. I am on call that weekend so, I don't want to GM, I will still be there... but mostly to supervise. I might be looking for someone to run Quest for Perfection part 3 if you're interested, let me know.

As it happens, I haven't played part III of that series (GMed, but not played). If Mike is okay with that (I try really hard not to metagame with OOC knowledge), I will try to make this on the 11th. :-)

Shadow Lodge 4/5 5/55/55/55/5 ****

I've never played or run it before, but I'm always willing to give it a shot. Rumor has it that it's a good idea to keep credits for this series on the same PC though, I hear?

Indeed. That's whether you play it or GM it.

Silver Crusade 4/5

Oh, there's a special reward for doing all three parts of Quest for Perfection with the same PC? It doesn't matter if it's playing or GM credits, does it?

The PC I played part 1 with a year ago is too high level for the other parts now. But the one that got the credit when I GMed it a couple of months ago is still level 2. And in fact, I was looking to play that PC more in the near future. I still haven't done parts 2 or 3 as a player or GM, so I'd like to play them.

It does not matter whether it's PC credit or GM credit, whether they're consecutive, or even in order. They just need to all be on the same PC. :-)

Shadow Lodge 4/5 5/55/55/55/5 ****

Fair enough - I'll print Quest for Perfection pt III here in town and prep it for May 11 :)

- What time of day/night do you guys/gals game at Woodfield?
- Do you *actually* allow Chris R to play there? :P

Liberty's Edge 2/5

Ok, so recap, cause now I'm Super confused let me lay out my schedule and see if this changes things for you guys at all. Cause I just looked at my schedule and got my dates mixed up.

Coming up on may 4th is Quest for perfection part 1 & Goblinblood dead
May 11th is QfP Part 2 & ???
May 18th I'm scheduled to work so that's where I'll need help: should be QfP part 3 & ???

I'm terribly sorry for the confusion it's been a very hectic weekend and past week. And I got a little bit ahead of the curve and flew off the track.

And to answer Mike's question, We run from noon to 4 or so. I will be there by 10am. Mike, If you wish to GM QfP 2 or play, you are welcome to. I feel terrible for mixing up my days, but lack of sleep will do that to you.

Shadow Lodge 4/5 5/55/55/55/5 ****

No worries, and I totally get you on lack of sleep.

Because I'm only going to be there for the 11th, than, would it be better maybe if I ran that second table of ???? (something) since I've never done any of the QfP series?

Is this one of those "kill everyone with the tough season 4 adventure" things? I honestly don't know - that's a new scenario that I haven't seen yet. I'm scheduled to play it at the Dice Dojo in a couple of weeks.

Given that it's a new group at this location, and a lot of them might be new to Society play, I'd be pitching low level softballs like Frostfur Captives, at least until I'm sure at least half your table will be up to level 2.

Shadow Lodge 4/5 5/55/55/55/5 ****

As much as Night March would be awesome, I kinda agree with Fromper... also since I'm running it twice at GenCon and probably 1-2 times before that, I'm kinda hoping to play it before I GM it heh.

I could do Frostfur Captives - never ran that one. I leave it up to Robert, though, since it's his lodge :)

Liberty's Edge 2/5

Well The current plan is wrap up season 3 with QFP. Followed up by a jump to season 4 to wrap up my players lantern and shadow lodge characters.

Mike pick a Season 3 scenario, preferably. If you look at the event page, it currently lists everything we have played to date. If there is a season 4 scenario you really want to run, just let me know so that I can set up cows. Our player base is all between 1-2 right now... some are coming up very close to 3.

Silver Crusade 4/5

Looks like you've already got Frostfur Captives on the events page. Does that mean you've already run it there?

I'm thinking Icebound Outpost is another easy low level adventure from season 3. I don't remember what else is specific to season 3 off the top of my head.

Would you be open to running stuff from earlier seasons? There are a couple of fun scenarios that aren't specific to bigger metaplots if that's what you're trying to avoid. I'm thinking stuff like Assault on the Kingdom of the Impossible and The Pallid Plague from season 1, The Penumbral Accords from season 2, or Mists of Mwangi from season 0.

Shadow Lodge 4/5 5/55/55/55/5 ****

I could run Icebound Outpost - it's season 3, isn't already listed, and has one of my favorite archetypes in all of Pathfinder in it *grins*

Liberty's Edge 2/5

Right now the focus is for getting the 2 retiring factions PC up to the right level to participate in their endings. Once they have finished those and season 5 has come around, we will attempt to stay current with season 5 but also be jumping around all the other seasons as well.

yes we ran frostfur 2 weeks ago. As for Icebound, Go for it! Do you need anything from me Mike?

Liberty's Edge 2/5

As a side note, We will also be running the kids track parts 1 and 2 on the 19th and parts 3 and 4 on the 26th. Looks like we are booked up for those at the current moment.

Shadow Lodge 4/5 5/55/55/55/5 ****

Nope, I'm all good on my end - I'll be ready! :D

Liberty's Edge 2/5

regarding the Kids track... That might be getting moved around a bit... There is a schedule conflict somewhere... I'm waiting to hear more from the troop.

Sczarni 5/5

I'm GMing Quest for Perfection 3 on 5/18 right?

Liberty's Edge 2/5

Yes you are! I will need one other GM to volunteer for that day and what they wish to run. Before I open up sign ups.

Silver Crusade 4/5

I'd volunteer, but I really want to play parts 2 and 3 of Quest for Perfection. Besides, I'm not even sure if I can be there that day.
