I know, I know, I'm breaking all possible rules of etiquette. You aren't supposed to start threads about yourself. You aren't supposed to talk about yourself during Superstar because it's supposed to be about the contestants, yada yada yada. But today is my birthday and it's all about me! :) So if you have any love at all (and some of you won't) for a certain someone, bring it on!

Neil is certainly a great author and the effort he puts into his critiques is highly admirable. I'm glad that he was recently asked to work on Reign of Winter, as that man has skills in spades.
Dangnabbit, wrong certain person.
Happy birthday Clark! You've done a great job with Legendary Games. Are you going to PaizoCon this year?

OK maybe this thread should now be love for everyone BUT me. That's way funnier anyway.

As I said in the other thread, many happy returns Clark!
There isn't much to do between now and the 26th, so you deserve a bit of spotlight for your hard work as an RPG Superstar judge.
Now I will sit nervously and start going over the million mistakes in my submission that I am sure that I will find in the next five minutes.

Happy birthday, Clark. And Neil *is* really great too!
Happy birthday, Clark! I really appreciate all the work you (and the other judges) put into this competition, and the way you approach the critiques with an emphasis on learning from mistakes and growing as a designer is fantastic.
Many happy returns of the day!
Happy birthday Clark, have a great day.
This is Clark's day. Give him the love. He deserves it...
Happy birthday, Clark! Here's to many more!
I have one order of L.O.V.E. (latex, octopus, velcro, and ether) for a Mr. Clark "Demon of [redacted]" Peterson.
(I am not asking why he wants some L.O.V.E., someone else can.)
Best wishes on your birthday! :)
Happy birthday Clark! Hope you have a good one!
Happy happy birthday, Clark!
Happy Birthday Clark!! Here's to many more years of your RPG goodness!

Happy birthday, Clark!
On this board, of course, there is only one proper way to celebrate another year of your life.
Bad magic items!
Cake of Critiquing
Aura really powerful all; CL 3rth
Slot hands or mouth; Price $4000 gp; Weight 5 lbs.
Description
Once there was a retired necromancer having a birthday. His minions made him a really neat cake. The cake gave him lots of magic and he became more powerful than Gandalf.
This magnificent confectionery is a large tiered cake, lavishly iced with pink and gold filigreed frosting. Being presented with it will give someone whose birthday is being celebrated a +4 bonus on all dice rolls for the duration of the celebration. If a full round action is spent pouring a potion over a slice, it will seep into the serving and take affect upon the person consuming it. Consuming a cake slice is a standard action. In all other ways this will convey precisely the same affect as drinking the potion.
If the cake is decorated with a number of lit candles equal to the user’s age, it conveys the following powers each once per day: rainbow pattern, pyrotechnics, dancing lights, sound burst, and chain lightning. If the user chooses to blow the candles out instead, he must succeed at a Constitution check (DC= 5 +1 per candle) to do so. Successfully blowing out the cadles grants him a WISH. Failure to extinguish the candles will result in bad luck for the user for the next year. Precise effects of this bad luck are up to the DMs discretion.
Instead of being eaten or wished upon, a cake can be thrown at an opponent as a ranged touch attack. A cake that is successfully smashed upon someone’s face will explode into a swarm of monkeys identical in all ways to the mad monkeys spell.
Construction
Requirements Craft Wonderous Item, Brew Potion, Prestidigitation, 14 ranks in craft: cake decorating; Cost $1400 gp
(DVD bonus features! In google drive this actually came out to precisely 301 words. Sadly, the RPGSS word count tool isn't available for non-contestant use, so I couldn't make it exactly DQ-worthy, but I did the best I could...)

Happy birthday, Clark! :-)
Huh. Late to the party huh? Well, us grognards don't move so easily these days, lumbering under our heavy loads of history, good-natured curmudge and accumulated campaign journals. Might I raise a slightly chipped die* in your honor. Happy birthday Clark, keep bringing the noise of flavor!
*(I have no idea how old you are, so cannot input dice code into msgbrd virtual dice roller...)
Curse this game called "Pathfinder" that ate up my time with killing mites and running from trolls yesterday, causing me to be late to the party!
Happy post Birthday Clark! I hope you have better fortunes during this upcoming year than our group did against those trolls ...
Thanks everyone that was very nice. Even a grumpy demon lord needs birthday wishes :)
Reviewing this thread seems I missed the give someone else some appreciation/love other than Clark angle, let me correct that now...
Wolfgang, you're work over at Kobold press is excellent praise worthy stuff and you routinely give people chances with your company. You have an open design format that developes talent and I'm sure more than a few of the great designers in the industry's future will owe you a debt.
Anthony Adam, you have a relentlessly positive and polite attitude that stands out as an example of how to behave as a hopeful designer. You give your peers feedback, you are quick to resolve conflicts in a peaceful and respectful manner, and you show effort and improvement year over year.
Sean K Renolds, some of the most clear and consistent feedback comes from Sean. He doesn't write a small book like Neil (we love you anyway) nor is he as colorful in his feedback as Clark, but his feedback is extremely helpful without all the bells and whistels
Happy Belated Birthday, sorry I missed it.
Happy belated birthday, Clark. I'll have to run my regular Pathfinder gang through some Rappan Athuk in your honor!
